  • @LeviathanRan The biker could have positioned towards the centre of the road to make himself more visible to the driver and further from the danger. He could have slowed more or considered a horn note or main beam flash if the driver seemed unaware of his presence. He could have chosen to wear better high visibility gear before setting off.

  • the trouble is people think their limits are alot higher than what they are and pay the price

  • This video should be played on the telly round about now just as the born agains and power rangers are preparing to blitz the twistys and give the ambulance crews sleepless nights wondering what the wkend will bring. Make progress yes but do it safely and think, not all road users are riding/driving to advanced standard and they do the most stupid things in the most stupid places. Kevin williams has got it spot on, on his website, survival skills, advanced lads can also learn from it too.

  • LMAO

  • This is bollox

  • good video.. i was going about with a few local lads from balloch with sports bikes a couple of years ago. i soon got sick of the psyco blasts to invararie. they were totaly nuts.decided to ride at my own pace. i have a fireblade but still watch what im doin. ( i enjoy life ) want it to last.

  • Thanks for the comment. Worth remembering, go at your own pace and within your own comfort zone. It may not seem as quick, but overall progressive is.

  • Never trust any juction or other road user. When im out on a twisty road and im going round the bends. If i see a juction and a vechile i will slow down even if i think they have seen me. I dont trust other road users but i do nip along looking where im going not at the speedo. Control and observation is where good riding comes from. Race track techiques can help your riding. If you ever needed to do an extreme manover then fast riding experience and techique could save you from disaster.

  • Great post Nigel

  • Great post as usual Nigel :)

Ride safe everyone, and always expect the tin cans to do something silly or not see you coming. (there panel damage...could be our life!)

  • fair enough you have the right to do that, im not going to be racial or swear at you like what seems to be the rend of youtube users these days . peace

  • Come on chaps, It not the usual repsonses I get on Youtube. The clip is from Lancs Police advertising Bikesafe, several years ago. I can not comment on it.......

  • were not having an arguement my friend, and in fact we seemed to have come to a conclusion without fighting or calling names, which is what i pointed out was a good thing in ym last comment ;)

  • Isn't the point about anticipation of eek! and/or damage limitation in the event of a collision?

  • from where the car was and the type of road, if the biker couldnt stop that would simple mean the biker WAS NOT paying attention, the car was clear view the road was pretty much straight and you can tell the bike was going too fast for the fact there was a vehicle comign out of a side part.

  • No but you can adjust your speed and position if needed to avoid a fatality, which you are basically taught when you do your DAS bike lesson for youe test.

but this does show that some bikers and car owners are stupid

  • Damn I thought you'd made it then, I was about to bow down more so than usual :P Good video!

  • I only wish I could do something like this...
