wait, besides the opponent rolling to the edge, couldnt they also get away by useing gua repeatedly so our sheild eventually breaks, which would mean we also have to master perfect sheilding every gua's hits
Actually, having used Ganon for a long time now, I can confirm that this works - to an extent (at least on Diddy). I wouldn't call it "chaining" though, that implies that the opponent can't get out of it... Newer players will just roll dodge to get away from it, like in the video, but more experienced players will throw in just standing up or slashing around, in which case Ganon has to REALLY read the opponent's motions and back dodge accordingly and gerudo right when the opponent is vulnerable.
When they use the get up attack they can do a buffered side step if not shielded right. Question time, I was messing around in waiting room when I accidentally jumped then used Wizardfoot off the stage and the used an ariel jump then Up B and to my surprise made it back. Now I can spike with not only Dair but a big wizard foot wall. Is that new? Fulljump+second+DownB+UpB will get you back safely must HOLD up on accent. Same as fast fall Dair straight off stage W/E thats called now. Ganon FTW!
Melvins are f*cking brutal. When I play on wifi, I usually turn on just SFX and put Melvins, Om, Sleep or some other doom metal band on. It makes me play that much more brutally.
Ive pretty muched master this, after watching this vid I wnet into training and slowed everything down...the key to mastering the chainchoke is!!!!!!! learn the get up animation and timing of ther rolls I can usally grab a person about 6x to 7 times untill i mess up! but thts it if u learn the animation of the rolls and the get ups or their get up attack u can out smart them
I'm not sure what percentage is necessary to finish the job. These are the problems we face every time we fight someone with God Tier recovery. I've double meteor spiked MKs at medium percentage and they can still recover. LOL. It's all part of the fun.
I like that you can force a ledgegrab, but it means that this caps out at 20% or so plus a followup depending on their wakeup.
And its tech chasing/roll chasing, you just broke it down to what to do. They tech-roll. You chase it. No prediction needed, you can tech chase a lot of things on reaction.
You're right about the "protip". Controller sounds definitely help.
I'm not interested in the semantics you're talking about, I just wanted to separate Gerudo Tech Chasing from Chainchoking, because it was (and is continuing) to cause people a lot of confusion.
Regarding at what percent this caps out is important of course, but what's more important is the fact that multiple, inescapable chokes refreshes stale moves and frustrates your opponent, two aspects which cannot be underscored enough.
how do you do the aerial Guerdo spike?
DIsturbios1234 1 year ago
@DIsturbios1234 Far as I know, all you do is just use side-B when airborn and if you connect, it performs the spike.
Also known as the "Ganon-cide", if I remember my terms correctly.
smashbrolink 7 months ago
@smashbrolink ahh its the Ganoncide........... aerial Guerdo spike just rolls off the tounge and Ganoncide definatley doesnt.
DIsturbios1234 7 months ago
@DIsturbios1234 Longer, though. Ganoncide is an abbreviation.XD
smashbrolink 7 months ago
@smashbrolink Ganoncide sounds alot more epic anyway.

I usually prefer to perform an attack depending on how he gets up:
-attack: jump + dair/fair or shield + jab
-back: back smash
-forward: run and dash attack or warlock kick
-just get up: same as attack or grab or side b.

the many minutes of 1/4 action was really annoying!

I love how the slow tempo of this song compliments the the fact that the game is being played at 1/4 speed

Haha I like doom metal, especially stoner bands like Sleep and Electric Wizard.

What's up, Raven?
I've got only one thing to say to you:
Take it to the next level with High on Fire. So brutal you're not sure if you're listening to Stoner Metal anymore.
ganonDAD 3 years ago
I've actually heard of that band it's just I haven't gotten the chance to listen to them yet, but I will soon though haha

Only thing about the Metaknight spike, metaknight can fly right back up after he is hit by the throwdown choke.

I dunno. I think this could be a really vital technique that could drastically change Ganondorf's metagame.
But hey, that's just me. I'd practice this if it weren't for the fact that my Wii is fucked up.
