  • FIght club is fantastic. Make another one of these vids

  • utilitarianism is for fools who cannot think for themselves.

it is for half baked uneducated western idiots who want to support racism , slavery invasions, colonialism , and such( all justified by greatest good for the greatest number crap) without admitting the fact for themselves

well soon western beggars will find the tables turned .

    get ready beggar scum!

  • I find it funny how I have listened to this video in its entirety twice. And also come back to this video about once a month to find new reading material, but to Obviously Jesus probably forgot about making this video. This video alone has changed my philosophy. I'll finish reading every book he mentioned in this video by the end of summer.

  • @SportzFanatic15 I'm back here for a second time too. Reached somewhat of a turning point and felt the need to actually entertain my philosophical curiosities.

  • Dexter and Breaking Bad are amazing. Best shows on television.

  • Self-actualisation in Psychology is just the completion of dreams/ goals.

Much better than the Maslow version.

  • SOOO smokers and drug users can die, but the HASH - Assassins were a prime example of self actualization? Riiiiight.

    Interesting otherwise

  • It amazes me that your still using Jon Lajoie's "Sunday Afternoon" as a intro song.

  • I just went out and got Before Good and Evil and Existentialism: From Dotrovesky to Satre :]

I'm a bit confused, but I'm using intellect and taking it slowly.

  • In Australia, your vote does not go any further than you electorate i.e. three or four suburbs.

  • Kafka is a gangster

  • the british bitch? :O I cheered when he killed her ! :)

She was good for the show, but stil kinda a bitch ^^

  • It's fucking surreal how our lines have crossed. I'm not a movie buff yet the movies you discuss are some of the ones which have moved me most. Moreover, the television programmes which you like and the mannerisms which you exhibit through the way you talk resemble my own. It's weird how this happened after watching a TF2 video on a gaming channel on the internet, but it's great. Will check out the content.

  • I was reading this one book titled "The Bible". Then some fucking douche bag spoiled the ending for me when he knocked on my door and told me this Jesus dude died!

  • Where around RI do you live, I would like to come and visit over the summer ^_^

  • I always thought that your opinion was truth,.....

  • FIGHT.CLUB

  • any excuse will serve a tyrant.

  • I'm in 8th grade, anything I should read in depth? Haven't read into philosophy mostly only watched your + Clyfer's videos and read/seen some of the things you had in this video (Like fight club).

  • Enjoyable and coherent to a point. Sounds like you thoroughly enjoy learning but are still having a few problems regarding objective truth and self contradiction. The "Plato came up with this ridiculous thing called the allegory of the fucking cave" comment coaxed a wince out of me, I must admit.

Would really like to hear you go deeper into your thoughts on post war sci fi, something you began to touch on toward the end there.

  • Hey Jesus, I've been meaning to ask you this out of curiosity, are you more of a utilitarian or a deontologist?

  • @toushihiro I'm much more of a utilitarian.

  • Hey OJ what do you think about Nome Chompski

  • I reread The Metamorphosis at least once a year. It's an incredible work. Also, what's your opinion on Gone with the Wind?

  • I want to read The Penultimate Truth and Beyond good and evil. Im 17 and never read much before. Good or Bad Idea?

  • @MrPhatJared BG&E might go over your head without prior knowledge of the topic, but Penultimate Truth is a good one.

  • I found the movie V for Vendetta to be a complete bastardization of the original graphic novel. If you like some of the themes in the movie you should definitely go read the book. Also I find that the book has much more individualist themes than the film because in the book V is an Anarchist.

  • @TheToolUnit I have and have read the comic, but I'm not an immense fan of the comic book style.

  • Comment removed

  • @Shadow9392 You mean the style of the book itself? Or of comic books in general? While the style of the V for Vendetta book does make it a little hard to follow at times, the content of the book is vastly superior to the movie (in my opinion). The topics of the film are are dumbed down and idiotic, especially with no references to Anarchism, or the fact that V is morally ambiguous (in the film V is simply a romantic freedom fighter). I've been raging at the film ever since I saw it >.>

  • Fight Club is my favourite book ever.

  • Rules 1 & 2 herp I'm cool.

  • v for vendetta was an amazing movie

  • Do you have a retainer?

  • I was supposed to be revising. I have definitely gained far more from this, cheers.

Having read The Fountainhead, is it worth the effort reading Atlas Shrugged? And as other commenters have said; you'd enjoy A Clockwork Orange if you haven't read it already.

  • Finally someone who understands facts and opinions and how they work. :D

  • That is why Canada's election is better than the electorial votes of the United States, every vote counts

  • finally I find someone who thinks like me =P

  • You are the perfect commentator, you talk about penises (Penisi?)and intelligent commentaries.

  • One thing I noticed was that you said people who smoked wastes your tax dollars. Now I'm Danish and we have a different tax system where you pay I believe 25% taxes on everything you purchase. And a survey was made that showed that people who smoke actually contribute more towards the overall welfare, because they die about 9 years earlier which means you don't have to spend money to take care of them as long leads to them being less of a "burden". Now Scandinavia is a lot more socialistic -

  • @Zichua - than USA and I'm not fully aware of the healthcare system in America, but do you think that this phenomenon could be translated into your American ways?

Sorry if my english skills doesn't quite suffice. Sometimes it's hard to get my exact point translated properly.

  • Well you're obviously Jesus so I take your word as gospel.

  • Great podcast but do you stand 100% behind nihilism ?

  • Amazing, I will never be able to talk for nearly a full hour like that!

    Great commentary.

  • I never understood Kanwith his whole sunnam bommum and his idea on a supreme being with him not being religious, but I'm pretty sure Kant never directly argued with Nietzsche.

    Anyway another Interesting commentary

  • @kingpgguknow Not directly, but they had opposing views about noumena and phenomena.

  • Movies like V for Vendetta that make me think are my all time favorite and all movies should be made to do that.

  • yeah, kant nietzsche these are all germans i like germans

  • hey Jesus? Do you think tejbz makes good videos?

  • @TheSydling I refuse to watch Tejb after that abysmal music video he made.

  • @Shadow9392 do you like El Presador?

  • @Shadow9392 you ever read A Clockwork Orange?

  • Obviously Jesus, you're my favourite <3

  • @Shadow9392 Why not check out George Orwell's 1984. Great Novel.

  • Emanuelle Cunt

  • I love philosophy and Physics (and psych) but there's a lot of conflict between them. The podcast 'infinte monkey cage' had an ep called 'Is philosophy dead?'. What do you say to those who are against philosophy.

  • sign* 54 mins

i wont to hear you but.. :(

  • If you do a podcast get Clyfer7 to do it with you, or have multiple special appearances. You two work good together it seems.

  • @DanielTDWP He does have a podcast your red neck cunt.

  • @ChasenGaming Woah, calm down, just because he wasn't aware of the podcast, doesn't imply that he is related to that retard WingsofRedemption. Heh, I made a funny.

  • Dexter ... what british woman??

  • No mention of Max Stirner, :(

  • Loved this only one criticism ... we dont all have the time or attention span to listen to this for an hour if you could cut up something like this in future that would be excellent.

  • @claimmedead then gtfo

  • Do you study Rhetoric? I'm currently studying it and you use a lot of the terms that define the course and your thoughts are along the same lines.

  • obviously jesus is me with tourettes. . . says all the shit i do and even some i think talking about a few people i love and a couple i should and then toss in a few cocks and fucks

  • Comment removed

  • Do you like English class or no? Personally I find it sorta bullshit and forced most of the time.

  • i really want to listen to all your long commentaries but i just haven't got the time with two jobs and studying for a degree, please consider podcasts

  • I found a lot of these books as epubs. Win.

  • Camus is probably my favorite author.

  • Ever read Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut?

  • @Cmankagevlogs yeah i gotcha, representatives are proportional to the population of that state so montana has only one

  • Dude how come u don't make any black ops videos anymore

  • @bjsnake990 Because he doesnt like black ops

  • FUCK 55 MINUTES LONG, u have a lot to say... i bet ur girlfriend hates that

  • @XxdskaterxX A woman should be content with her partner's ranting. Well, I would anyway. Balderdash!

  • awesome :) ur smart .

    hav ppl told u that?

    they do?

they should tell u more :D

  • I have been watching your videos enough to know that you love music, and you also hate drug use and those who use drugs. My question is what do you think about the fact that a lot of the music you love was created by drug users and i'm not 100% sure what you listen to, but a lot of songs you might like could have been made while the artists was under the influence?

  • @jumpmanjr1918 It was, which is unfortunate, but good music is good. Only thing you can do is accept the past, not as justification of drugs, but as a height which you wish to reach without drugs.

  • @shadow9392 I have to disagree with your point that the only truth is truth of your own. This seems to suggest that the you believe in the coherence theory of truth, meaning that as long as the theory/truth is internally consistent and coherent, it is true, while I think the only logical form of truth follows the correspondence theory of truth which states that the theory/idea must correspond to the known world and reality. Otherwise, anything can be reasoned to be true. Correct?

  • @Cmankagevlogs nope, it has 3

  • Friedrich Nietzsche, Stanley Kubrick, Bill Hicks, Tool, Fibonacci. Those are all connected by various means that thread the woven fabric of my philosophy (yes I know Fibonacci is a mathematician, but that's part of it)

Thus Spoke Zarathustra -> 2001: A Space Odyssey -> Monolith in Bill Hicks' tour -> soundbite from Hicks on album Aenima on "Third Eye" -> Fibonacci sequence on "Lateralus" and golden ratio of course.

Jesus, check out Kubrick if you haven't. Amazing man and artist/film maker

  • @westogmoney I love Kubrick, he just wasn't influential in my development. But then again, neither was House or Dexter.

  • @Shadow9392 Check out Rob Ager's analyses of the films. He does an amazing job at dissecting every scene, symbol, image and compares them to the books to find where Kubrick was really trying to make a point. He has a couple analyses on Youtube and some on his own site called collativelearning (.com)

  • @westogmoney

A Clockwork Orange, 2001: A space Odyssey, The Shining and FMJ are some of my fav flicksof all time!

  • Just missing the obligatory books by Hayek, Rothbard, Mises, Locke, et al but these are more political philosophy and economics than ethics and the like as you have highlighted

  • @torell95secto

If Jesus Talks For 54 Minutes..You Listen For 54 Mins

  • Awsome points made. Can't wait to see your name in my history textbooks.

  • Dexter has a good plot but wow the tone of Dexter's voice when he talks and on the voice overs put me to sleep.

  • @MiEdKi13 Does anyone agree with me?

  • Dexter is the most gridy awsome show ever

  • that was the most intelectual rant i have ever heard

  • The Dark Knight is a good example of blurring the line between good and evil. Inception is also an excellent film.

And thanks for the recommendations by the way, I haven't read a great book in a while.

  • @WikiSonic Chris Nolan is god. Sort of.

  • @Shadow9392 If you like Nolan's work, you should watch The Prestige if you haven't.

    Such an awesome movie

  • @Shadow9392 HAHA

  • why do people want their comments to be thumbs uped so much?

  • You should make podcasts

  • @VeritasEnterprise He did, look in the suggested videos

  • Hey OJ, as dumb as this may sound, the first assassin's creed game actually has alot of interesting views on this kinda stuff, the game itself CAN be a little repetitive but if you get really into it its an amazing game :)

  • you should make these as podcasts (if you don't already), id rather listen to this on my ipod on the way to school when i have more time... and also this doesnt have many visual so it would be the same.

  • 14:11

not a god, just exactly what you said: pretty much a bad guy in trouble. :)

  • Found your blog, no posts, at first I was disappointed but then I realized your Youtube channel is pretty much a v-log. I believe as you grow older you will grow more and more apart from gaming and into a v-log sort of genre. So our good friend Jesus will soon be losing subscribers, as well as gaining them. <3

  • Your first rated R movie was V for Vendetta?......How old are you???? lol

  • You go to Bryant university don't you?

  • im viewer 303

  • If america had a first past to post voting system, the will of the people would be represented much better. First past to post is a plurality system. So if u have 20 people running for presidency, the one who has the most vites wins. This indirect voting system in our great country is so flawed and gay...

  • ha lol

  • Please jesus do a dual commentary with pvtj8ker, i just saw the wrath video and thought it was stupid of him to do , and the comment war you joker and wrath got it, ya know clean up the air.

  • I too am a big Dick fan, Phillip K that is...Valis blew my mind. I like his other books as well...as far as movies, I assume you've seen Dr. Strangelove, but if not I'd think you'd really like it. Has one of the best ending of any movie.

  • @Shadow9392

Also another recommendation is watching Fringe that show has to be one of the best shows on right now!

  • @Shadow9392 I love those shows, Breaking Bad and Dexter are epic, i recommend you watch more House though because it gets much much better after the 1st season, i think that show will grow on ya.
