@MiniMagicGirl Thank you very much! ^^ I think I can answer your question, Mercury has water-based powers because in Japanese planet Mercury is written 水星 (read "suisei") with the first kanji meaning exactly "water". Her surname too contains the kanji meaning water ^_^

Although I personally would have given Mercury air as her element (because the god could fly), Naoko decided it should be water due to the Japanese translation which means water.
Oh BTW great work on the video... I think Mercury is the only one who looks good in an Eternal outfit thought, since it closely matches her original look and white boots go well with a blue outfit.

Okay, here's something that's been bugging me . . . in the manga, Mercury's supposed to have an IQ of 300 . . . and is supposed to be the smartest human in the world . . . if that's true, why wasn't she in college already?

I mean, she acts like a plain common girl... you never hear her saying something really THAT smart, nor you see her making up cool tactics against enemies or something... For a mangaka it must be dangerous having to deal with a too smart character, because if the author is not at the same level, well... you'll see it ^^"
@Starseed86 hmm, I do agree with you, it would have been nice to see Ami's intelligence demonstrated more often in the series.
Still, an incredible intelligence and level of understanding of the world around you doesn't necessarily mean she's skilled at tactical battles. Einstein didn't lead our troops to victory and Stephen Hawking couldn't kick your ass.

Ami is a genius, and equally importantly, she WORKS HARD at studying and training her mind to make the most of her gifts.
As for "not a robot"... Naoko's original concept for Ami was to be part-robot, but she abandoned the idea. Good thing.
Yeah, I remember. She was supposed to be a cyborg, and she was supposed to die by having some of her parts destroyed :/ (Thank god she abandoned that idea!)
I'm also glad she abandoned the old outfit designs :D

I wonder if the animators would have trouble drawing all the details and would find it much easier to draw simplified outfits, or if an editor recommended making the outfits more similar, or what.
Whatever the reason, I'm glad the midriff-baring headset-wearing Makoto remains concept art only.

@EnvoyOfTheBlackAbyss There's also the possibility that she didn't want the attention that would be given if she acted as smart as she truly is. Being a very gentle, shy person, she'd likely be uncomfortable and overwhelmed in that situation, so she acts average as a precaution.

@BBBGirl100 Their order will be set by their difficulty XD So the order should be, I think, Neptune, Uranus, Pluto, Mars, Jupiter and Venus... I chose Mercury because her transformation is very short, but I didn't think it would be SO hard to make... Jupiter is my favourite too, I hope I can improve by then so I can make her henshin at my best! ^^

@BareriSerrano I don't get what you mean. If you mean the outfit, it's taken right from the manga (I pretty much wrote it in the title), not from Celeurmouy ;)
@BareriSerrano no they're quite different celeurmouy made his own rendition of Eternal Mercury while Starseed86 pretty much followed the design of Eternal sailor mercury's outfit from the manga they are very similar in the techniques of how they create their art, but other than that they are quite different

I am a giant Sailor Moon, have been since I was 7. I'm also incredibly picky when it comes to detail: art-wise. Your Power Up fanvids are definitely one of the best I've seen on YouTube. It sticks with the style from the anime and manga. I absolutely love it:)
@tarona23 Nay, nay, I'm not offended at all! ^^ I understand what you mean, but even though my work is not original (never inteded to deny that: it's even in the description!), I can assure you the method I use is really difficult, and it take me a lot of time and efforts. And I know it's absurd, but now that I'm starting to animate myself, I can tell you, I find way more difficult to trace than to draw! XD
@tarona23 While I can second you on Celeurmouy being the best Sailor Moon fan animator (for now ^_^ ♪), tracing over more than 200 frames with the mouse is not "just". And also the Crystal henshin in the SuperS are "just" copied ;)
I can only immagine how difficult is to make this type of video but it'll be wondefull if you could do all scouts eternal transformation ^^ and a new Sailor Moon's transformation

@stefanolattanzio Cos'è che perde definizione, il video o le particelle? Nel primo caso può dipendere dal fatto che Particle esporta il video con la risoluzione cosí come la vedi all'interno programma. Per esportare a risoluzione reale devi usare il Particle Illusion Render. Se invece sono le particelle, è probabile che la loro dimensione reale sia troppo grande o troppo piccola rispetto a quella da te usata nel video, e quindi i contorni si vedano sgranati.
@stefanolattanzio Sí, insieme con l'applicazione principale dovrebbero esserci anche Particle Illusion Render e Particle Illusion Render Batch. A te serve il primo. Lo lanci, scegli il progetto che vuoi esportare ed il percorso dove salvare il video, imposti il codec, i canali alpha ecc. (insomma le solite opzioni che usi normalmente per esportare da Particle), dopodiché clicchi il bottone "Render" in basso. Il video a quel punto sarà esportato con la sua risoluzione originale.
@Starseed86 io ho importato il video in AVI...ho messo gli effetti speciali..il videoe' 1200x1000 pixels...quando esporto in avi..mi appare la finestra del render..,ma mi dice che e' impossibile farlo....mi salva il file tutto nero..uff
@stefanolattanzio Per caso usi Particle Illusion (il programma base intendo) con il Software Rendering? Cioé senza l'accelerazione dell'OpenGL? In questo caso devi cercare tra le opzioni del PI Render e togliere anche da lí l'uso dell'OpenGL (una volta è successo anche a me ed ho risolto cosí). Se non funzionasse, torna nel programma base ed allarga piú che puoi la finestra di lavoro, in modo da poter esportare almeno a "grandezza schermo".

Eh, I don't think regular heels fit Ami. I actually think all of their shoes fit them.
Usagi = Boots seem to fit nice with her
Ami = Same for her, she doesn't seem like the type to wear heels
Rei = The heel and strap really does symbolize "passion", since she's the soldier of flame and passion
Makoto = Sneaker-like heels fit her, since she's strong and athletic and such
Minako = Heels fit nicely with her, since she's supposed to be really pretty and stuff

@BareriSerrano I don't get what you mean. If you mean the outfit, it's taken right from the manga (I pretty much wrote it in the title), not from Celeurmouy ;)

@BareriSerrano no they're quite different celeurmouy made his own rendition of Eternal Mercury while Starseed86 pretty much followed the design of Eternal sailor mercury's outfit from the manga they are very similar in the techniques of how they create their art, but other than that they are quite different

Fantastic! In the anime series there isn't an eternal transformation of the Senshi. Are you planning to do all of the Senshi?

@bumadevabo Yes, I am. Right now I'm working on Sailor Saturn. I've just finished to animate her transformation sequence... now I have to trace it on Flash... like, I have to draw it twice XD

@Starseed86 Great! I can't wait to see al the Senshi with their eternal henshin. I can't do anithing with grafic programs but I know they take a long time also to made an animation of 20-30 seconds ^^

I am a giant Sailor Moon, have been since I was 7. I'm also incredibly picky when it comes to detail: art-wise. Your Power Up fanvids are definitely one of the best I've seen on YouTube. It sticks with the style from the anime and manga. I absolutely love it:)

@tarona23 Nay, nay, I'm not offended at all! ^^ I understand what you mean, but even though my work is not original (never inteded to deny that: it's even in the description!), I can assure you the method I use is really difficult, and it take me a lot of time and efforts. And I know it's absurd, but now that I'm starting to animate myself, I can tell you, I find way more difficult to trace than to draw! XD

@tarona23 While I can second you on Celeurmouy being the best Sailor Moon fan animator (for now ^_^ ♪), tracing over more than 200 frames with the mouse is not "just". And also the Crystal henshin in the SuperS are "just" copied ;)

@stefanolattanzio Cos'è che perde definizione, il video o le particelle? Nel primo caso può dipendere dal fatto che Particle esporta il video con la risoluzione cosí come la vedi all'interno programma. Per esportare a risoluzione reale devi usare il Particle Illusion Render. Se invece sono le particelle, è probabile che la loro dimensione reale sia troppo grande o troppo piccola rispetto a quella da te usata nel video, e quindi i contorni si vedano sgranati.

@stefanolattanzio Sí, insieme con l'applicazione principale dovrebbero esserci anche Particle Illusion Render e Particle Illusion Render Batch. A te serve il primo. Lo lanci, scegli il progetto che vuoi esportare ed il percorso dove salvare il video, imposti il codec, i canali alpha ecc. (insomma le solite opzioni che usi normalmente per esportare da Particle), dopodiché clicchi il bottone "Render" in basso. Il video a quel punto sarà esportato con la sua risoluzione originale.

@Starseed86 io ho importato il video in AVI...ho messo gli effetti speciali..il videoe' 1200x1000 pixels...quando esporto in avi..mi appare la finestra del render..,ma mi dice che e' impossibile farlo....mi salva il file tutto nero..uff

@stefanolattanzio Per caso usi Particle Illusion (il programma base intendo) con il Software Rendering? Cioé senza l'accelerazione dell'OpenGL? In questo caso devi cercare tra le opzioni del PI Render e togliere anche da lí l'uso dell'OpenGL (una volta è successo anche a me ed ho risolto cosí). Se non funzionasse, torna nel programma base ed allarga piú che puoi la finestra di lavoro, in modo da poter esportare almeno a "grandezza schermo".

@Jennavee12 Better if you write in English, the Google translator isn't really the best option ^^" About your question, I use Flash CS3, but you'll have to colour every frame anyway (if it was what you meant, because of the translator this isn't very clear), unfortunately there isn't a short way for that...
And, you know, "Italians draw it better"! XD
