They have a lot of potential, Mayday Parade-size potential, but they're not going to appeal to a very wide audience because the hardcore tone of his voice+alternative-ish feel of the band do not mix well.

Now they're probably the most mainstream hard rock band these days. sux lol.

You're going to be eating those words. I've witnessed tons and tons of people who don't like hardcore or anything like that fall in love with this band. I've seen this band over ten times and they're one of the best live bands going now. The Swellers are signed to Fueled By Ramen, a label that has produced several top-selling acts, and I've seen PBC blow The Swellers out of the water in their own hometown. A bigger label is going to pick up on that and sign them sooner or later.
