  • one dislike MUST LEARN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • learned more about history in this than in a book in class

  • Should be the theme song for Black History Month.

  • KRS-1 knows his shit very well. listening to this makes me despise rap from 1995 to now. KRS-1 and Chuck D are not joke, they're the real MCs. Only if rappers today has this kind of knowledge

  • its hard to rap but its harder to drop knowledge and rap at the same time krs one true hip hop innovater and god

  • this and eminem are my favorite rappers!

  • Geneology or genelogy of shem

    He said genealogy

  • @TimrodRa His pronunciation is Gene-alogy. While the normal pronunciation is Gen-e-alogy. Either way, I imagine he spelt it correctly. :)

  • Now Thats Real Hip Hip....

  • completly awesome. Any DJ worth his salt should have this in his collection

  • all youth need to watch this video

  • who is KRS 1 talkin about at 3:57, 4:51, and 5:10? i can't quite make out the names.

  • @sahbian GO read the lyrics online just type the title of the song in google

  • what is he trying to say by genesis 14:13?

  • This is Hip-Hop at it's finest!

  • In this song are more sense than in all music in last 5 years together!

  • John Bolton @ 1:47

  • Now this is dropping science, kicking knowledge.... truly one of the all time greats, track and Kris, peace

  • the best part is when moses threw the tablets up and they turned into vinyl....absolutely brilliant.

  • perfect song for black history month

  • Yo mtv raps was cool!

  • this is a REAL rap song!!, not like present shitty " jewelry-seller" music.

  • im white but I apreciate this to the full extent I have learned a little bit about the african people and it comes down to ignorance we fear what we do not know and that leads to racism, his skin is a different colour I wont why? who cares lets lynch him and in return black people return the racism back, theres nothing we can do to undo this fact and turn both colours into peace but we can do one thing...KNOWLEDGE now where is lil waynes tribute to knowledge...lil wayne must LEARN

  • @bcchronicking Thanks 4 your comment!!!

  • what bothers me is that in this society the only thing respected is creating all of a sudden. What about thinkers? Only producers.

  • Tesla , KRS.

    C'mon now.

  • I'd be mad as hell if KRS got dragged out of my classroom. lol

  • where did hip-hop and rap go wrong?

  • i saw 2 of the most dumbest post eva one was nelly was better than krs-one and krs-one is wack. i know people have their preference but saying those 2 things r idiotic thats like saying lil wayne is a better lyricist than rakim. not this song really opened peoples mind and make u think because today we all need knowledge

  • Knowledge Reigns Supreme

  • Thats faith evans with black hair sitting in the front row.

  • Dope dope song!!!!!!!!!

    Hip Hop lives!!!!!!!!!!

  • Brother KRS-1 is a great rapper and scholar that tells us about our real history, because he knows how to inspire and to make us feel so proud of what we are.

Brother KRS-1 is telling us, that we shouldn't be afraid of learning about our past achivement and to continue.

  • sick video!!! ofcourse awesome music!

  • What a tune....KRS still kicks. I remember when Mike Tyson came out to this on his ring walk. Both legends, peace!!!!

  • Mesing with Nike may not be bad if he's pimping them like Mos Def did with brand Jordan.

  • i think mixing with corporations isn't always bad as long as you pimp hem. Mos Def allowed Air Jordan to use "Umi Says" in a commercial but made them donate to a charity of his choice before he granted them the rights.

  • One of the best Rap songs ever!

Rap of today can't even compare to this. What's the last rap song to have a message this powerful?

  • @chilen40 you been lookin in the wrong place. Underground is where Real Hip Hop is found. KRS-ONE, Tech N9ne, Immortal Technique..should i go on? and this song is dope

  • @advantagehiphop maybe you can answer a question of mine. I remember years ago like around 90-92 a fat song that was being played on college stations. Versatility .. is the only thing I remember. Don't tell me to google it. I have. And all I've found is that same name by a newer artist.

This song was good. Not saying it deserves to be in the hip hop hall of fame or anything, but it was good.

Who had a song with the word versatility in it around that time?

    Anyone?

  • @lykopis unfortunately i have no idea, i was born in 1990 so i would've been hella young in 92.

  • @lykopis It might be Bahamadia "Spontaneity" (1996)

  • @contempo7 thank you for answering me. but this was like around 91-93

  • D NICE in the BUILDING!!

  • krs was the man before he started fucking with nike.

  • Thank you big sis (chowwer)

  • an instant classic upon release and one of my all time fave's. big thanks to my bro' who introduced me to conscious rap. kekhotep

  • Oh yeah! Great & Klassik!!!!!!

  • Was one of those kids Mos Def...?

  • Some of the best lyrics in history!!!
