  • Great song by Pakistan's Nazia Hassan with music of Indian Biddu.

She had singing as her hobby & worked on noble causes & charity. She worked with her mother Muniza Basir in the low income areas of Karachi to help the needy and sick.

She also raised funds for childern in Rajasthan. Went to lasgr No of schools for collection of toys for poors.

She is known to be the "Sweetheart of Pakistan".

  • She died of lung cancer, NOT ovarian cancer....

  • An interesting thing in this lovely song other than Nazia herself is the voice of Michael Holding. Can you hear and match the sound "People in the left of the room go boom!" with the accent and style of Michael Holding?, ex West Indian fast bowler and commentator?

  • @apart786 yes they are so talented 'peopoles'.

    LMAO

  • hahaahaa LOL !

  • pakistan has produced some real gem's like nazia & zoheb.....i'm pretty sure there must be many more nazia's and zoheb's in pak whose talent has gone unnoticed....Biddu launched nazia thats when her talent came out in the open....everyone is welcome in india ...we dont go profiling people based on their relegion ....which is why our entertainment industry is where it is today!....as for the you-tube venom spewers(like the one below)..get a life freind...do something worthwhile.y spread hatred?

  • well said friend...love from Pak

  • @manojsm87 Thanks for inviting us but Nazia and Zoheb Hassan did not go to India to create their albums. They were born in Karachi and moved to London for studies thats where the Hassan family met Biddu and London is where Nazia, Zoheb, and Biddu worked together in creating their albums. Haven't you noticed the label, "recored in London" in most of Nazia and Zoheb Hassan's albums. Their last album didn't contain any of Biddu's music though and was recorded in Pakistan. Zoheb now lives in Lahore.

  • Nazia Hassan was really Pakistan's pride. I know that there are so many Indians like me, who love and admire Pakistani artists and so many Pakistanis also admire Indian artists. I always believe that life is too short to be wasted away in hatred, and music is such a great tool for uniting countries and bringing people close together, irrespective of their color, creed and origin. Nazia Hassan managed to do just that and that is why we all miss her so much.

  • Because of her beautiful innocent looks and heart melting soft voice, she got so many offers from producers and directors in India for films in 80's, but she turned them all down as she was not interested in acting in movies. So she always maintained her innocence and grace because of which she is still missed so much by her admirers in both Pakistan and India. She sang just because it was her hobby and never took it as a career. There'll never be another Nazia Hassan. May God bless her soul.

  • When I saw this music video in 1995, I didn't know much about Nazia Hassan apart from a couple of her songs from the album "Young Tarang" and never saw her music videos. I didn't like this music video back then. The simple fact is that if you see any music video of Nazia Hassan featuring her, you'll know the fact that no other person could have replaced her for that song or video. Her beauty and innocence was simply captivating which no other artist or person could ever match up with.

  • This song is a remixed version of Nazia Hassan's hit song "Boom Boom" (1980). I must say that even though I myself am an Indian, for me Nazia Hassan was much superior to any other singer in India or Pakistan(or any other country for that matter). She was a Pakistani even though she spent most of her short life in United Kingdom with her family. Also the composer Biddu besides being an Indian spent most of his life in UK.

  • wow Biddu did that? damN!

  • Nazia responded then "To my mind he decided to remix the song fine, I don't have a problem with that. He didn't inform us fine that's no problem either but then to go and not give us credit on the video and pretend that it was not my voice seems to be an ungracious gesture and wholly bad manners. I think that the biggest problem he and the music company face is that Zoheb and I have such distinctive voices and that our fans immediately realize it is us and they are annoyed by such behaviour."

  • In 1995 Biddu remixed and released Nazia Hassan's hit song "Boom Boom" even without asking for her permission and giving her any credit for it.

  • Well, according to most sources close to her family, Nazia spent most of her time in London. She used to come to Karachi most of the time and her family still has a house there I believe. Nazia's parents had a lot of money even before she became a pop icon. So Nazia really never sang for money and she took singing as a hobby only.

  • Yes but I remember that they had a house in Islamabad too, I dont know if they still own that house, but you are right Nazia Hassan stayed in Karachi more because thats the city she was born in. She was Pakistani and never lived in India, thats what I was trying to tell one of the people who commented in this video.

  • great track with good vocals .. but credit has to go to biddu more that nazia .. biddu did a lot more that just this, whereas nazi is known for just a cople of filmi tracks (coincidently composed by biddu) .. just my opinion

  • A lot of music composed in Nazia Hassan's albums were made by both Biddu and Zoheb Hassan,Nazia Hassan's brother. Nazia Hassan, Zoheb Hassan, and Biddu all worked together in London with their albums when Nazia and Zoheb were studying in London. When Nazia and Zoheb came back to Pakistan, they did'nt work with Biddu thn Zoheb did all the composing. Credit goes to Nazia Hassan, Zoheb Hassan, and Biddu but Biddu didnt work on all the albums of Nazia and Zoheb, while Zoheb worked on all the albums.

  • Without Nazia Hassan's voice, this song wouldn't be a succeess. Nazia Hassan had an amazing voice and a great personality with stunning looks.

  • who is the female model in the song, i know her last name is verma, cant figure the first name, starts with a s i think, she had a single frame appearance in ek khiladi ek haseena when fardeen meets feroz khan for the first time in the elevator...

  • anupama

  • the classic version of this song was sung by Nazia, this version is sung by suchithra

  • oweeeee atlast..i got this song......man.....i just love this track AWESOME....Nazia....u rock..may god bless ur soul....Amin...

  • Alisha Chinai's hit song "Made in India" was originally written for Nazia Hassan.

    Nazia also lived in Mumbai.

  • but, nazia hasan was from pakistan and she lived in pakistan and her brother zohaib hasan lives in pakistan .

  • you are right my friend... except that she got married to an Indian, lived in India briefly and then settled abroad (London, if I'm not wrong). She became truly famous only after her song in Qurbani.

  • no, yar she married in pakistan and her residence is in pakistan in karachi at clifton. she lived 1980---2000 {20 yrs in pakistan)

  • Nazia Hassan never married an Indian. She married a Pakistani from Karachi. Nazia Hassan was Pakistani herself who was born and raised in Karachi. She went to London for studies then returned back to Pakistan. She lived in Karachi and also had a house in Islamabad. She never lived in India.

BTW, the voice in this video is Nazia Hassan's but the woman in this video is not Nazia Hassan.

  • yeah Pakistan Zindabad!

  • She is Anupama Verma

  • Yes but the voice is Nazia Hassan's.

  • Though I am from Chennai, this song was such a craze when I was in school. My mom told me that Nazia Hasan (in her words, "the person whose voice took the nation by storm in Qurbani's Aap jaisa koi) is the name of the singer. I went on to search for her songs, and listened to them like crazy. Too bad she is no longer with us - her songs are with us, though, and every listener's eyes will moisten up a wee bit when you hear this nostalgic track. RIP, Nazia, and thanks for everything.

  • In the early 80s Nazia was big superstar in Bombay...the only person to temporarily displace the great Lata Mangeshkar.

    She did not commit suicide,rubbish.

  • no , mr. let me assured you she have been big superstar in the whole world. she was great in her field and lata is great in thier field. nazia style`s was pop singing.nazia and zohaib introduce the pop singing .

  • I LOVE YEW NAZIA !!! RIP

  • nazia hassan great voice big loss ,,,one pakistani that was useful

  • This song reminds me of my old college days wheheh
