I love it!! I've always been partial to wagons since that is what I grew up driving. If you're not already a member you may want to check out stationwagonforums by typing that in plus dot com. You've got some sweet rides.
Oops! Sorry for the typo, the torque for 94/95 should read 335 ft-lbs, not 355! But it did drop ~5 ft-lbs in 96. Same basic engine mechanically, but 94/95 had OBD I. 96 was the only year for OBD II along with some other emissions changes -- different AIR pump, etc. Note that this is specific to the RMW -- I don't pretend to know about the other B and D body variants.
92 & 93 had a 350 -- but not the LT1. It was the L05 engine (TBI -180hp, 300ft-lbs). 94 through 95 had the 260HP/355ft-lb LT1. In 96 the LT1 lost a bit of torque due to the new OBD2 computer map.
Note that the infamous Vette version of the LT1 had different heads and cams. 400HP, but a much narrower powerband.
I did not know that so many of the Roadmasters received a 305 verses the 350. This is such an incredible automobile with clean stylish lines, lots of power and room for several people. It was such a shame that they stopped building them.
Holy shit that sled can launch! Great video, I'm getting ready to trade my '96 Caprice for a '94 Roadmaster wagon, looking forward to running it at the track and on the street.
what times will it do without the shot?
