There is more than 1% of the world's population wise enough to know this information and that is the Chinese population which accounts for 15% of the world's population. Their government is encouraging its population to purchase bullion.

as someone who hardly has any other assets, i feel good that i started buying silver and a teensy bit of gold. i can imagine when i want to withdraw all of my cash from the bank, they will say "oh you have limited amount for withdraw" um yeah CLOSE that account beyotches!

nice. yep i am aware of the dip right now. been buying since this last fall and i never stop learning. i buy gold 1/10th fractionals just to keep diversification as that is affordable. i also like junk silver as well as bullion. and private minted rounds as well as silver eagles. i like whymewhysilver as he encourages diversification. i like rounds and coins more than bars but i was able to get some 1oz scottsdale silver bars and they are very nice. i need to get more junk though.
GOLD AND SILVER are nothing. When my family is hungry... Should i go the bank or the farm. All the Gold and Silver possession will be illegal. The Gov. will pass the same law just like they did in 1933. You are right though physical possession is the only possession. Pieces of paper is nothing. Possession is still 9 tenth of the law. Paper fiat money is nothing, things are everything.

Gold and Silver have alway held value. It dates back to the book of genesis. Pres. Nixon took America off the gold standard in 1971. The average fiat currency lasts about 40 years. You do the math.
The gov't confiscated gold in 1933 because everybody had it; it was MONEY. There isn't enough gold (or silver) in private hands to make confiscation worthwhile, now. And gold and silver have ALWAYS been the preferred media of exchange, throughout history. No, you can't eat gold and silver. But can you pay your bills with bread? People prefer MONEY to barter, and gold and silver are universally recognized as money. =^[.]^=

Has anyone ever questioned the Government in how they paid for our gold that was confiscated. People the U.S. Government has stolen our Gold! They NEVER paid one red cent for it!

Another one I like to tell people is that in 1960 a quarter would buy a gallon of gas. Today that same silver quarter will still buy a gallon of gas plus change.
There are several good mints you can easily find on-line. There are also many reasonable silver coin and bullion dealers in most areas. You can even find them in your phonebook.
