  • @emiliouchila Blender is way easier than Maya. The latter is 'Err, hang on, lets write a script for that' and 'We need a programmer to write shaders' etc. You very rarely see a Maya user do more than one aspect of the package and though thats the way it is in a studio, it should tell you something about the needless complexity of the software.

    Late answer, but my comp specs are: Imac 27' core i7 2.8ghz, 8gb of RAM and ATI Radeon 4850M 512mb.

    But the most important thing is that I don't use subdivision in the viewport, that's why I can play with the model smoothly.

  • Wonderful model and a brilliant rig too that seams to give just about all of the flexibility in an animated model that you would ever need. The whole thing is very suited to the style, I wonder if the facial texture needs some more definition however. It would be nice to see some finished renderings.

    Thank you. Actually, the texture resolution is about 4096x4096. I limited the display in the 3D view at 1024x1024, that's why it look so blurry.

    I'll show some renders on a little video or on a forum (ie BlenderArtists).

  • @kagi3d How do you get her in color? When I use something like the MGS model pack, it opens the character in gray.

    Unfortunately, I'm not planning to do a tutorial about how I made the rig. But soon, when it's finshed, I'll share the rig (without the character).
