  • Hey guys,

    Really nice shot.

    Very very cool video

  • Don't play with the food!!!! >:l

  • wish i could have spent my 15th b-day watching this rascal instead of drinkin a bottle of 151 with the homies... why didn't they send me a memo about the launch???

  • narrator is a nerd

  • This is VERY SAD....!

  • ever think about using bowling balls for ammo?btw that thing looks scary if it had Russian writing on it i would swear that thing produced some radiation at one point in its life lol, nice canon though

  • @245crow,

The people who own the cannon once did fire a bowling ball when they were up on the east coast. They did it somewhere where they had a long range where there was nothing to hit. I asked one of them how far it traveled, and they said they didn't know, because they never could find it.

    tq

  • haha thats great! it was built by Parker Fab. i used to work there. good times!

  • the narrator is a buzzkill :(

  • Well done fucking bunch of rednecks!!! Now go a fire up a minority!

  • @derechaliberal u know i'm from Delaware where this is a national televised event that donates all proceeds to charity and I'm actually a minority. It's the little things in life you should enjoy and not slander at ppl for doing.

  • and why wud u need a pumpkin launcher?

  • @LoserBo1

    ......Zombie Apocalypse.

  • @bmxrat1 so unless u use something more uselful....ur going to have such a big machine jsu to kill one zombie

  • @LoserBo1

If you filled the barrel full of ninja death stars it would be pretty useful.

  • i wonder how accuret this are

  • Since the barrel is smooth-bore, and the pumpkins are not symmetric, over long distances it is not very accurate at all. This is not just determined by the side-to-side angle, but also because there is great variation from one shot to the next in distance.

But when they lower the gun and target-shoot, they can easily hit the side of a junked car at about 200-300 feet.

  • Stupid

Why not build such a big bomb? Would be more intressting.

  • holy crap! fuckin awesome

  • how many P S I ?

  • It would vary, but I believe they ran around 60 to 70 psi in the tank. Too much and the pumkin would just liquify.

  • holy balls

  • Talk about "nerd" narrator..sheesh put some jazz in yer voice buddy come on!

  • Instead of taking the time to slam the narrator, why not take even less time and go down just a couple of posts where I explained why it was done this way.

    Terry

  • The narrator of this video killed himself 1hour after recording this. If you listen to his voice you can hear the sound of death approaching,

  • hahahaha. i was told death was breathing down his neck.

  • Wow!!!

    Another Tquinn :- )

  • i wanna see where the pumpkin impacted lol

  • The pumpkin usually leaves a patch of pumpkin meat at the point of impact. They paint the pumpkins with flourescent paint before launch, which sort of marks the ground at the point of impact. Also, spotters watch from the receiving area to see where it is coming down. But they say this is pretty scary because at first, no matter where you are standing, the pumpkin (still traveling pretty fast) looks like it is always coming right at you, until it gets closer to the impact area.

  • im bummed, my fiancee fails to see the coolness in this...sighhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • wow this guy sounds like he is about to die

  • I had to re-narrate this to be very clear, because this is the tape that was sent to Guiness in England to certify the world record. There is another video, about an hour long, that is set to music and much more fun to watch (even my voice is better). But I don't make that one public.

  • why do you ask? you go to morton and try to find something more exciting to do.

  • You think Morton isbad? I'd rather be there than East Peoria! At least Pumpkins taste good, the bottoms(CAT area EP) tastes and looks like crap!

  • My father helped design it and he is very proud XD hahaha

  • no... ^_^

  • hahaha britain has the worlds fastest air liner, america has the worlds fastest punkin!

    PMSL

  • Why is it even important to spend all this time to launch a pumpkin almost a mile?

  • All that time and money. It really isn't important. They just do it for fun. Just like the good old days. Think of it as an unusual hobby.

    Terry

  • tarihemi geçmek istiyorsunuz illaki silineceksiniz öldkten sonra geçsem ne olacak

  • that thing is bigger than the paris gun

  • Insane

  • If you understood the technology it takes to get a pumpkin going over 600 mph without turning it into mush, you wouldn't be so quick to criticize.
