from this short clip, holt looks like a total idiot trying to win the frame from 90+ plus points down - except he wasnt. he was merely seeking some table time to pot a few balls and get into the swing for the rest of the match

and yes, it happens everywhere especially in the opening frames where 1 player has hardly come to the table

Its a good entertainment and Michael Holt asked for it. Michael Holt has right to play on so he shouldnt be blamed , since he continued for some extra point he should be happy to have some from Ronnie. It would be good if Holt could turn around the result but after getting some extra point Holt was not interested snookering Ronnie and started potting the balls and made his earlier effort futile. A Canadian troll did the same with Ronnie and and Ronnie punished him with both hands!!

Ungentleman like? So what... Holt came to the table wanting some potting practice when the table wasn't suited for it. So rather than staying in his seat and conceding he plays 2 snookers and a safety shot, whilst Ronnie is deliberately fouling and trying to provide Holt with position on the yellow. If there's anything wrong with this it's Holt wasting his opponent and the audiences time by trying to get some potting practice whilst the balls are tied up.

I remember a game many years ago where a player (I think it was Jimmy White) needed 7 snookers & all the colours to win, & he did manage to do just that, so it's not impossible to win if you are so far behind, just very unlikely.

@alijeal In snooker, there is no distinction between an unintentional foul and a deliberate foul. However, there is a rule about "ungentlemanly conduct" - if the referee thinks a player is guilty of this then he has the power to award the frame to the opponent. But there is no actual rule regarding a deliberate foul.
