Such fond memories of our little limo-black duck, man it was so much fun to drive! I'd own another in a heartbeat if I could afford one now, the only time I ever got it stuck was driving onto a buried refrigerator in a pit in the middle of a hay field, we picked it up and out she came, off we went, just too many smiles per mile they are! :) These 2CV vids are gettin' me all nostalgic :D

A/C What I remember from mine was when the flap below the wind screen was open you could see out the gaps at the top of the doors even though they where closed More air open the Bl--dy roof.

First ones had 9hp and over the years got more power. Latest ones had 33hp - fireballs.

You'd be lucky to get 50 out of an early one but also over 50 mpg - latest ones (602cc) will eventually top 90 - I know, I've done it! It's a bit noisy though but still get 45 50 mpg. They're a way of life!

I have a 2CV for 18 years now. No repairing needed, just the usual brakes maintanance and exhaust pipe change! One of the simplest, economic and most reliable cars EVER! And it IS very confortable for 4 passengers. who says else has never ever even travelled on a Citroen. BTW the "soundtrack" is cool too! Cea mai tare masina de pa strada!!!

I've done thousands of miles around the world in 2CVs - yeah, slow, noisy and ugly (to many) but reliable, comfortable and cheap to run and go anywhere. Over 40 years continuous production and nearly 7 million 2CVs and derivatives - must be telling you something (and we're not all mad) - if you've never been in one driven properly then you've missed something.
