@makouse to my surprise I actually liked the flick. it would have been better as a regular TV show or a Syfy mini-series. There are several storyarcs to cover there. Fall of New Shangai, Derazi's past with his crew (Especially Markus with Contessa), the clones revolt and the Konstructs's growing dissensions with the Nephilim. the Cromagnon DNA part made me wonder if they didn't read either MacLeod's novels or Eclipse Phase's Sunward guide

And Blue sails on (minus, presumably, her a.i. consciousness). i didn't catch from th movie, what actually happened to the hardware non-entity ship after Derasssi died? Was it just left there? They should have had th Blue-made-flesh/Sheetak clone piloting it away at the end. That would've been cool. Also, N.J.C. is 0:12 on a konstruct "warrior" (think that's what they're called). Does that mean he's on the side of the nephilim? (kidding). I wonder what Blue-made-flesh would say if she met Romi

it's out now. got it at th local redbox vending machine yesterday. and if they have it everyone does. i was pleasantly surprised. i didn't have high expectations for it when i saw(1) the production company that released it, and (2) the lack of a subtitle feature and lack of closed captioning. this second is usually a sure sign of a cheap, awful, straight-to-video movie, but not this time. th writing was about a b+ to A-, production: A-, ensemble: c to c+ with some standouts, effects: A-. not bad
