I discovered this spectacular series on Netflix. This is without a doubt among the best anime series ever created for the story and character development alone. I'd KILL to see a second season of Claymore. The manga even goes farther th an the anime so they have something to work off of.
If there ever is a season 2, it won't happen for a long time.. not until the manga is finished I think. The manga is monthly so the storyline is progressing VERY slowly, but it's great. For all of you who want a season 2, I advise you read the manga. It's still pretty satisfying as far as the plot goes.
@DoMoHoMo105 It wouldn't be a season 2 if they're waiting for the manga to end. For it to be season 2 it would have to be a continuation of where they left off of from season 1 and they can't really follow the storyline of the manga with the way they left the anime.

That said, there's a very easy solution for the continuation of the anime: ignore the last 2-3 episodes that concluded the series and pretend like they never happened.. kind of like Inuyasha and the Final Act.

For Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles and Fullmetal Alchemist they went the OVA/new anime route which i'd prefer personally rather than them calling it season 2 when it really isn't season 2 if you have to ignore the last major episodes of season 1 for it to make any sense at all.

@fianle You know what I hated most about FMA: Brotherhood? Watching the first few episodes because I felt they were already covered in the original anime. That's what I hope to avoid with Claymore. I love the original anime as far as the first 23-24 episodes go and I really don't need to rewatch them in a remake. What you'd prefer may not be what the creators of Claymore prefer and they may decide to go along the same path as Brotherhood or Tsubasa which makes more sense to me, or they could go and do what Inuyasha did. In the end they are making the choice though and we can only say what we would prefer personally.
@fianle it had already caught up with the manga and the manga moves so slowly that it would be pointless to air fillers like Naruto and Bleach do when the anime catches up to or almost catches up to the manga. So really, the issue was that the manga was going too slowly.. so when the manga finally does finish, the anime should just pick up where they left off instead of remaking it since the original anime is pretty true to the manga already.
Its interesting how close the anime followed the story in manga.. except for the ending (the northern battle). Clare never fought Priscila there. Neither she did meet Raki. So if there will be Season 2 some major changes to the original story would be necessary. But it could be done I think... but there still isnt enough material for a full season although it seems it is nearing its end.
Anyway... if they'll make Season 2 it will be pure epicness. :) Read the manga! :)

Claymore music, as I see, is a clever blend of folk and modern. In this one for example, you can hear a modern drum kit with folk flute, which gives it an altogether ethereal feeling. Claymore is quite an ethereal anime, anyway - that is why I love it!

Clare is one of the best manga/anime protagonists. Propably best female protagonist at least. I despise Raki though (fucking Naruto-wannabe and I hate characters like Naruto).
Btw guys you might want to play The Witcher,the protagonist is pretty similar to Clare character-wise, and the game is dark fantasy too. It's awesome

@JayEffW agreed....the first few episodes of the anime are almost too good to be true.. They nailed the teresa segments , and did great even to the point where the story reaches rigardo... but after that , they totally ruined it..A real shame. This anime should've had several seasons and even ovas but madhouse decided to take a short cut and butchered the story...

Claymore music, as I see, is a clever blend of folk and modern. In this one for example, you can hear a modern drum kit with folk flute, which gives it an altogether ethereal feeling. Claymore is quite an ethereal anime, anyway - that is why I love it!

Clare is one of the best manga/anime protagonists. Propably best female protagonist at least. I despise Raki though (fucking Naruto-wannabe and I hate characters like Naruto).
Btw guys you might want to play The Witcher,the protagonist is pretty similar to Clare character-wise, and the game is dark fantasy too. It's awesome

@JayEffW agreed....the first few episodes of the anime are almost too good to be true.. They nailed the teresa segments , and did great even to the point where the story reaches rigardo... but after that , they totally ruined it..A real shame. This anime should've had several seasons and even ovas but madhouse decided to take a short cut and butchered the story...

this anime is so under-rated that i doubt the reviewers that give bad comment on this anime on popular anime website didn't even finish at least 5 episode. this anime starting to rocks on teresa arc. it doesn't get what it deserved to be comment by those freaks. this is the best anime ever at the moment, whoever agree with me, vote for me~ :D

One thing that makes Claymore even more epic than it already is are the soundtracks. Claymore's soundtracks truly cannot take second to any other.
