nahh i don't think so. if it was a stock engine with bolt ons it would get spanked past 50, but its a turbo. i'v seen non turbo bgs go 140 on the freeway, and they are not slow accelerators. i have 2 bugs also like i said before though. i'm not trying to dis the Scirocco
You have no clue what your talking about, the bug ran a faster 1/4 due to the 1.6 60fts but from a roll the rocco would just walk away from it. I helped him build the bug and i built the rocco myself, when it ran right that rocco would walk a c5 vette from 40-90 ....
i guess it really depends how they are both built. a good turbo bug could push out almost what your running in the rocco, but it weighs half the weight. anyways, i'm done arguing.nice car
what engine does that have? my 84 gti has the 8v jh. your car has a nice hum to it.

yup, solid lifer head too. Although some later VWs had JH engines with hydro heads, the JH nomenclature gets kinda blurry.
