  • These kids look like extras from clueless! lol!

  • Very very nice song! I've been looking for this video for a very long time! Terabytes of thanks for uploading this wonderful song video. :-)

  • great song! idk if the video setting matches though

  • It was extremely rare to have a cell phone in 1992, much less if you were a high school student.

  • man, listen to the message in this song. that's the main difference with music today, and it's not a 'bad' thing, it's just evolution, but yeah, the message is about longevity, 'saving' something for someone, etc. and male singers sang about stuff like this too, then. when this is all people listen to, that's how our world is. Everything in the world now, is instant. So what are we going to hear on the radio and heavy rotation? Sex.. instantaneous sex; not courting, love making, or innocence

  • THIS.

    is real music

  • AWWWWWW. Takes me BAAAAAAACCK!

  • this is REAL music, nothing today will ever compare! #TrealSpit

  • Judas, Juda ah as, Judas, Juda ah as.....

  • it really is amazing wen you hear these old classics they bring so much memories (mostly good ones) back to mind. now-a-days u hear a song and d next day it's like wat d hell was that, it means nothing, have nothing significant to it..I miss d gud ole days fuh real.. to b a kid again in the late 80's n 90's was fun, more discipline, love and respect for yourself and others was displayed..

  • I miss this kind of music and treasure the memories it brings. I have given up on R&B and rap for this generation. I'm glad I can go back every now and then....

  • I MISS 1990's. If i could turn back time...

  • She kind of looks like Kim Fields.

  • i am so in love with this song but it is so refreshing and positive, so simple the video, naturally blessed from the 90's era...glad i partook in that time and era, everythin' was so simple, lots of jobs, gas so affordable, it seems that the world was more naive and there werenot so much of hoggish-stereotype out there...oh oh memories:)))

  • What A Gift Youtube Is! Younger Generations Can Still Benefit From All Of Our Memories Of The 20th Century. We Can Choose To Watch The Current Entertainment (That Is Lower Grade) OR We Can Tune Into The Entertainment That Kept The Family Close, Music That Reminds Us Of Family Reunions, School Days......Reminds Us Of Good Times.

  • this song is dream

  • best Shanice song in my opinion-maybe she should have done a sing/rap duo wit' Brian Austin Green-he had a career in rap-he was even in RAP PAGES-i'm not sure how he panned out-90210 was awesome-i watched a lot of that and Melrose Place

  • brian austin green is in the video!?!?!?!?! :O

  • Beverly Hills 90210 was about the way college was like. Good times at ETSU. This song was cool on Kiss-Fm in Asheville. Shanice was so cute. Hey I was in my late 20's in college but had a lot of good friends. Miss them. 1992-1998. Took me a while.

  • Damn all those memories just come flooding back, i surely do miss those days :)

  • I remember when they first premiered this video, it was after an episode of Beverly Hills 90210!!! hahhaha.. Gosh damn I'm glad grew with this music.

  • Love this song. Music has changed so much since I was a kid. Its just amazing how talentless these artists are now. You can use autotone or whatever its called and BOOM theres an album. Paaalease. And what i love about this video is that the people are just regular looking people. No caked up makeup or slut lookin clothes.

  • although i was born in 1992 , i really love the old song so much! nowday music is just .. emmmmmmmm =_=

  • this is one of my all time favourite songs... thanks Shanice !

  • This is my fav from Shanice! Such a beautiful song!

  • autotune nigga!!

  • Flashback! Before life got complicated and music went to crap, there was stuff like this. Beautiful.

  • I remember in the early 90's those top hats were in.

  • xaxa that cell phone was like an iphone back then.cute video and a very powerful ballad by this shanice.i agree music in the 80s and the 90s was so much better than it is today and this tv show was the best.

now its all about miley cyrus and party in the usa lol

  • my name shanice

  • the original 90210 rocks! the remake is just freakin lame whitetrash that you wont get any sort of good moral values from...well, not that these shows are meant for those anyway, but damn!

  • I miss these days

  • JESUUUUS...AFE, AFE.. S2!!!

  • i remember back in the 90's when she performed this on the original 90210 and it was on the t.v. soundtrack , this is one of her best songs

  • when did music stopped being music? although i was a kid when it was released, i was emotionally touched by it....when a song can bring about positive emotions that's when u know it's a good song...music today doesn't hold a candle to music of yester years...we need to go back to the days when music was soulful, heart felt, emotional, positive and uplifting...when women didn't have to dress so provocative and music videos where not sexually chraged.

  • @starry00 true true

  • @starry00 talk about it yO!

  • @starry00 you are so right about that!they don't even use profane languages compared to music videos of today's generation. it does'nt even have moral values anymore.so sad isn't it?

  • @starry00 i think when the industry remembers what good music was, there will be a turnaround. I am entertained by the music that is out but rarely emotionally touched.

  • @levarthomasmusic just like you i'm entertained by today's music but rarely emotionally touched....honestly, i don't think those music industry giants will ever go back to those days when music made sense..also bear in mind that we have a generation of young people who do not know what quality music is and they are the ones who are drving the music industry.

  • @starry00 why are there comments like this on every song on youtube?

  • @kcnB Because a lot of people feel that way.

  • @starry00

    could not agree more

  • @starry00 her voice was provocative, no need for Shanice to dress provocative, she was and is so talented. When the bar is broken or raised this high, beyonce, or these current artists could not emulate this. thats real talk.

  • @starry00 I very much agree with you. I was going back and listening to these same kind of cool jams from this time period ('87 - '97) and they sure came out with some good ones.

  • Another classic! Love it!!!!!!!

  • @KellyRacheldotcom i feel you on that

  • @KellyRacheldotcom im glad im a man and i was blessed to be raised in the highest quality music, not higher, shanice, swv, tlc, en vogue, color me badd, bell biv devoe, h-town, shai, were the best of the best.

  • @omhat my thoughts exactly. I was born in '76 so I was right there listening to those same groups.

  • And they still are. dont forget boyz 2 men, among others. good taste

  • @omhat

    u know it!

  • I love her......we need more songs like this now a days. theres too much bumping n grindin in the slow jams today thats y i love to stick to my 80's n 90's tunes

  • One of the best songs from early 90s. Simple, melodic, perfect. Sh*t nowadays...couldn't hold a candle. Love the 90210 incorporation with Green. Thanks for the nostalgia.

  • always thought this song was incredible.

  • SHANICE & HER HUSBAND FLEX WAS ON (BET) MONIQUE'S SHOW A FEW WEEKS AGO. SHE STATED THAT SHE WAS WORKING ON SOME NEW MUSIC.

  • didn't Haley Johnson do a cover of this on Kids Incorporated ? Never knew Shanice was the original singer= although I figured someone must have had a hit with this since Kids Inc songs were all [or most all] covers of popular songs [many current ones]

  • @cathode1990 as a matter of fact Shanice was in Kids Inc in 1984-- although I don't remember her::: I remember Martika and young Fergie{stacy ferguson] in those early days!

  • man i love this song....whatever happened to her....what a voice!

  • DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is my JHS summer

  • Brian Austin Green looks so young here

  • Whoa... I loved this song and 90210. Hard to imagine of all the actors/actresses being that old now... makes me realize how old I am myself :-p

  • I remember so loving this song. I even had a veeeeery brief crush on BAG because of this song. O those were the days LOL

  • wow..the passing of time puts evertything in perspective...Brian Austin Green was around the age his wife Megan Fox is now (or there abouts) and Fox was maybe 9 or 10 (in the early 90's) wow you never know how life is going go.

  • @vardiss22 dam her songs reminds me of Janet Jackson and TLC also tatyana ail lol. i would say tevin Campbell and michael Jackson llol.

  • @maxday1000 Tevin Campbell...whoa thats a name i havn't heard of in yrs lol....you don't hear about him at all anymore. never thought i 'd miss the 90's but i do these days.

  • @vardiss22 he was just on the Monique show thee other day.

  • @maxday1000, and he sounds GREAT - Tevin is classic.

  • People actually owned cell phones in the early 90s? I wonder how much they were back then.
