Animals have deep consciousness just like people. Dogs dream, monkeys smile, cats love and elephants are thinkers and dreamers. I love this. I will always love and respect animals. I will never harm them on purpose and I want to try weeding meat out of my diet. This coming from a 6'1" 225 lb. ex hunter and athelete. My brother saw these artists in Thailand. When I saw it, it made me much more loving of nature and what we see in the animal kingdom. They are AWARE.

Yes, it is clearly the elephant painting, though it isn't clear how much is its own imagination at work and how much is the result of training. They're amazing and intelligent animals either way, but I don't appreciate the guy's disparagement of skepticism. There would be no functional way to know anything without doubt and testing.

From an anthropological perspective, having men leave for long periods of time and matriarchal societies are normal kinship systems. Do not compare the Western model for everything. Making goods for the white tourists is hardly emancipation. The fact that "you" can decided whether the workers are paid fairly or not is part of the problem.
