I'm a singer myself, and what he does helps not only for destroying his voice but also making it sound different.

In this one, even though the position isn't the same, he does has his neck crooked (not that much as usual), and his position isn't recommended for singing, for example his knees should be straight, and his backbone should be straight as well.

So it's quite weird the fact that he sounds that cool :)
