  • that fender is si fuckin sick any one know the model let me know if ya do thanks ;)

  • The modern day Mozart. Started making great music when he was young. And still makes great music today.

  • someone guitarist know what kind of gear he use to have that sound??

  • and he changed his teeths why he was perfect he lost it

  • your right paulozerati but billy dont play he just lipsinc but he is a genius

  • 太棒了,震撼!

  • 太棒了!震撼

  • Linda Strawberry is totally fine.

  • WTG! Billy!

  • his solo album is pretty decent looking back, he should have just kept this sound for the new pumpkins instead of the shitty boring arena rock sound he used for zeitgeist

  • corgan rocks

  • Is it just me or is The Future Embrace basically Machina3.

  • @nicholsjoshua15 No, I think if anything it is Adore II !

It doesn't have the same feeling as Machina I/II. Those albums have a strong 'goodbye' theme. Adore is about love, which TFE isn't exactly, but musically they sound similar. Heavy electronic rock!

  • the drummers job in this vid looks so simple and lame it just 1 2 1 2 boom boom

  • Such a great song

  • saw them live in colonge maybe it was 2007 or so....ich never listen to any of the solo songs bofore and was blown away =) got handshake by billy and a smile .. it was such a nice and relaxing evening^^ thx for that

  • good

  • this stuff rules

  • right man this song so hot

  • I don't understand why Linda Strawberry isn't more popular even after having the opportunity to perform with Corgan.

  • @xodorianleexo she ain't a poptart, that's why...

  • This song is very beautiful!!!

    I loved...

  • Watch some old science fiction magazine covers when listening to this song, its perfect.

  • I just saw The Smashing Pumpkins Friday night in Charlotte. I seen Billy Corgan in Cologne, Germany and was blown away. I like the "New" Pumpkins, but I LOVED TheFutureEmbrace soooooooo much more! I wish he would have released a DVD of that tour, but I'm sure it will never happen.

  • Linda is the Girl!!!

  • @RaiderDan510 'Strawberry RULES!!!'

  • I remember buying this album back in 05. Mina Loy's my fave song from the album I also love Senora by Linda Strawberry who's singing in the back there.

  • @calamaty What album!?

  • @livetoriga Billy Corgan's The Future Embrace, that's the album that contained this song.

  • It looks like he's playing a Reverend Jetstream guitar

  • I love his stage presence....beautiful!

  • the siren calls outside, it wants to kill us all, innocents, wounded souls...

  • Interesting concept with his setup. Notice the lack of guitar amplifier. Guitar > wifi belt back > preamp > midi on Imac (I think?). Genius. Sounds like several guitar tracks yet is a single track that is layered with midi effects. Bandmembers seem to have an earpiece for PA purposes too. This live setup is awesome, and wouldn't be much of a pain to move around by the looks.

  • criminally underrated album. best album billy worked on since mellon collie. so fucking lush.

  • YES!!!!

  • would anyone know what kind of guitar he is using here?

  • he's using a reverend guitar, although the model he's using was discontinued.

  • @helptheunderdog

    thank you :)

  • the future embrace, along with Machina, were ahead if its time. people will look back on those albums and realize how good they were (are)

  • I love it, another awesome gem coming from Corgan, songwriter way above the rest but for hell knows what reason oftenly taken apart by these very little pricks in rock audience, with big egos, lame taste and way too loud asses

so yeh great. just showing some love :)

  • Wow, this is a really good song. On top of that, this is live - it sounds great. To me, this is even better than the Smashing Pumpkins.

  • @meinLiebsterFeind

I'd say you've gone a little too far with the 'better than smashing pumpkins' statement. lol, but that's just me.

  • no you are right, he was probably just high

  • Mmm, one of my favorites off the album. Oh, and yes, Linda Strawberry is very talented. Kudos to both her and Billy!

  • I love Corgan's solo album, and I love Machina the lyrical writing is really solid on both. I feel it's even there in Zeitgeist but singles like glow and fol they kind of disappointed me. In the songs glow, flo, and the song come on (lets go) they all focus on the phrase " come on" heavily and I'm thinking... why? Although I saw the live video of freak so I am not worried about Corgan at all. He's a one of a kind musician.

  • wow

  • Linda Strawberry is a breath of fresh air as far as as female singers, all the ones with so called "great" voices like carey and alicia keys are kinda horrible in my view, but the public has been brainwashed that holding a high note for a entire minute is actual singing, thats why american idol is so popular, its crap actually

  • I agree, american idol sucks too bad the better talent have to struggle to make it. While any douche can go there and have the "look" and they get a chance to get on television. I love Linda, my favorite songs are Reckless Hearts and F*ck you I'm Beautiful, she truly shines on the piano as well.

  • no one thinks alicia keys is great but to her credit she writes her own music for the most part and plays the piano while she sings (possibly)_

linda strawberry is just some chick billy banged for a couple of years while he tried to get james iha to join his band again

  • Man, I love this song but Linda Strawberry does not hold a candle to Alicia Key as a singer. I kind of understand what you're saying about "commecial" music.

  • This is my favorite song off the album. And though Billy's voice is great of course, the girl behind him has a pretty freaking awesome voice too. Listen to her harmonizing and vibratos -- they complement the song perfectly.

  • future embrace is much better than zeitgeist.

    and I love Machinas.

  • sounds like its strait from the cd. billy is the best

  • love this song. better than zeitgeist by far....

  • I'm realizing how unpopular his solo stuff really is. I'm probably one of the very few who really likes his solo album, and thinks is a really good album.

As some have pointed out, I also prefer it to Zeitgeist, which for the most part I don't get. But The Future Embrace is almost flawless to me, though it's not neccesarily his best work. But definitely is worth hearing.

  • oh the future embrace is like right up there with Adore. awesome awesome

  • Don't you love when you go see a show and the artist actually sounds like what he sounds like on the cd?

never get that with pop music.

  • Absolutely, no Ashley Simpson bullshit here. Music from the heart through the lips something pop music, sucked at.

  • this IS pop.

  • Than why didn't any pop stations play it. There are two pop stations in my hometown and no one's heard of this song. Even the rock staions wouldn't play it because it was considered "electronica". It's NOT Pop.

  • nah..i heard mariah carey sing live annd that woman's got a voice. i'd say it's even better live.

  • Mariah Carey might quite possibly be the world's biggest douche bag...

  • BUT she can sing. a lot of pop singers can sing. that's about all most of them can do. mariah carey does write her own songs though. good on her.

  • that was epic!

  • that hats got to go!! GOOD SONG,LIKE THE BEAT!!

  • this is much better than all the zeigeist shit!!!!!>>>>>>>>>>

  • i always loved this song...

  • yup me too. best on the album if you ask me.

  • Great performance piece! Great upload!

  • one of the great songs of our era for sure

  • Pure Kick Ass.

You are not as good as this! Give up. Billy kicks your ass all over the place badly. Stop do something else please he is great you are not. I beg you. Please.

  • The Future Embrance! get it!

  • Most...underrated album...ever!

  • the song has just reduced me to tears.what type of guitar was Billy using on TFE?

  • I believe Billy mostly played Reverend Slingshot guitars. He used other guitars on the album as well, but the Reverends were what he seemed to use most of time. A lot of the guitar sound on that album is down to loads of effects as well. Billy would only put one guitar track per song, using effects as they were needed to shape the sound. Every song has one guitar part, played in one take, no overdubs, apart from Strayz, which had no guitar at all on it.

  • Hypnotic

  • th future embrace is just beautiful

    DIA is magick

    MINA is magick

    ALL THINGS CHANCE is Hope

  • I DONT THINK BILLY CAN DO bad music...

  • billy cant people that play with him can tho haha

  • Isn't that Linda strawberry singing backup?

  • Yeah

  • i really liked that album. it took me ages to find. this is one of the best.

  • this album failed 'cause people are stupid! it's a great, great album with awesome songs! a perfect mix of electronic record and organic songs...

  • future embrace is a genius piece of art

    the ignorants dont understand that

    too bad

  • @paulozerati ,, I THINK IS ONE OF THE GREAT bc sONGSs

  • @paulozerati exactly!!!

  • @paulozerati love pumpkins since 1994, but i think future embrace is just awesome. people just dont understand.

  • @paulozerati billy, i would kill for your heart

  • even on an electronic album billy's guitar playing is still so innovative..criminally ignored..

  • its a shame not enough people have heard tham

  • @rjtkoh What album is this from? I must have it.

  • @livetoriga It's called Billy Corgan The Future Embrace, this song is track #2.

  • I don't understand why the album failed...I mean It's not that bad

  • he is sooo cool...billy is the greatest artist ever!!he's music is original!!

  • Awesome song and performance!!

  • k this song is soo cool

  • I'm probably mistaken, but is that Lisa in the background?

  • Linda !!! Linda Strawberry

  • yes, Lisa Simpson in the back ^^

  • Love this song

  • Billy corgan is the best writter in this age

  • One of the greatest songs of the past 25 years.

  • didn't like the album when it came out, but this was great.

  • dont ike rock much but this song is cool

    cool beat n lyrics

  • love this song, love this lyrics, love billy's voice, love linda's voice...

    :)

  • its kinda sad that they just stuck linda in the back, lol. I wanted to see more of her too.

    Amazing song tho!

  • GREAT ALBUM ,

  • anyone know what kind of hat that is?

  • I remember seeing this on letterman and rushing out to get the album. Thank god I listened to it in the store and realised how terrible the rest of the tracks were. Don't get me wrong, Corgan is a great musician, but he flopped on the album.

That said this really is a killer track!

  • You should download the album (if you don't want to buy it). It's actually very good.

  • Billy Rock's as always...but the girl is lame

  • hey! Linda is awesome!

  • genius

  • hater...

  • if you dont like it dont watch it...DUH! XD

  • but im a loser

  • i'm pretty sure you are. do loser like things instead of pissing people off. :)

  • but i am doing loser things by making these comments! :)

  • hahaha...

  • you're such an asshole

  • your momma's got a gay voice.

  • ur lamer than i can describe bud

  • is calling someone gay supposed to be an insult?? Dude you sink so low

  • Top Quality, Though DIA is The best off FutureEmbrace.

  • it has a really futuristic style.

  • i like linda's hair here, then again, i seem to like all the many hairstyles she has...love this song

  • Good song, really!! Melody, voice, drums (funny but good)...bass...By far Corgan is a very good song writter.

  • This is by far the best song on his album, and i'd say some of th best things i've heard from billy.

The sp's new album is good though

  • lol, the drummer makes me laugh, just standing there

  • who is linda straberry

  • she toured with billy and there still friends now i think, she does some solo stuff, such as the lost record, think that was her most recent..love this song

  • ...is that Linda Strawberry?

  • Yes

  • This is actually better than that new "pumpkins" record

  • Probably. The new show has it's beautiful moments, but on the whole it... lacks some kind of magic, should I say? Don't know.

(People say, their next album will be different.)

  • just awesome pwnage song

    Billy rules!

  • yeah it would!

  • it'd be awsome if the pumpkins would play this.

  • as pumpkins they should play this song as a cover.

  • billy is gourgeous. and i always like his hats aswell. he's the one that i adore!

  • FUTURE EMBRACE: One of the best CD`s from Billy!!!! Awesome!!!!

  • just cause you dont like it doesnt mean its crap, douchebag

  • wow get fucked already ha ha ha ha!!! and Yes I'm biased as fuck :) LOVE YOU BILLY!!!!!!!!

  • fuckface

  • A very intelligent and insightful comment, your hero and idol Billy would be proud. It's fans like you who make me embarrassed to say I like the Pumpkins and Billy Corgan.

  • Can't stop watching this, he make such quality and such crap. This being the former for sure.

  • This was song was great live.

    and I shook billy's hand :O :O :O

    it was huge.

  • i wish billy was my husband..i could watch him all day..ahhhhh

  • haha. I don't think we'll see D'Arcy working with Corgan ever again. I'm so glad the Pumpkins are back, but I also hope Billy records another solo album some day.

  • man, why didn`t ever appreciate future embrace back then, but I do now! well well...

  • could somebody rip the audio for me?

  • the song is on the Album The Future Embrace.

  • i know, but i like this version a lot better.

  • I can see why, its not as synthetic.

  • that sounds a bit like new-wave at moments, don't you think? I like it!

    he's so much the best.

  • is this during his solo career?

  • Yes, 2 years ago!

  • I miss D`arcy!But Billy still rocks!

  • We all kind of do, but ah...why would D'arcy be on Billy's solo album/on his solo tour? o.o

  • I am so fucking proud to say i have The Future Embrace out of only 69,000 copies sold.

  • Wow, this is totally cool...!!!

    (love the Reverend, too...:>)

  • Great song and performance from Billy and LINDA STRAWBERRY ROCKS!

  • i don't like the chick helping him out, shes off time and her voice is weird.

  • are you kidding us?? LS rox

  • i once saw billy during vietnam and i screamed "billy corgen!" as i was running to his aid he screamed "What up man" in his raspy german voice. he shot a few rounds. and was with some chick.

  • billy corgan is the greatest man alive

  • the guitars is a Reverend. not sure about the model`s name. Just look on Reverend Guitar`s website.
