They are both great and unreplaceable, however Adrian is far more versatile, and a much better song writer. Daves solos are usually just 'fast widdling'. Adrians solos contain all sorts of complex stuff, and also have more style IMHO. :)

they just have different styles. adrian has more techniuqe in his vibrato, he picks more often then dave (less hammers) and just more of a rock n roll sound. i personally think he's better sounding. but dave plays a little faster, but he just hammers more and i don't think it sounds as good. they just play differently. i think adrian's a little better though. it seems like he feels what he's playing more
