  • He Said Don't Touch It, He Didn't Say Touch It Once In A While, He Didn't Say Take A Nibble When You're Hungry, He Said DON'T TOUCH IT!

Don't Think About Touchin' It, Don't Sing About Touchin' It, Don't Think About Singin' About Touchin' It!

    Touch What?!

  • @livingdeadchick23

the apple of the appletree in the garden of Eden

  • I searched this just to hear Jerry ryhme Louisiana with piano ...Eat your heart out Dr Dre

  • Why didn't they make a Lewis movie with this actor playing the role.

  • Why didn't they make a Jerry Lewis movie?

  • @airbeyonder18 they did it's called great balls of fire

  • @airbeyonder18 they did its with dennis quaid

  • @airbeyonder18 they did its just with a different actor:(

  • Do they have amazing impressions in this movie or what?

  • i love this :) one of the best bits of the film just because of how he talks and plays :)

  • Love the way he says Piano. Pianna

  • woohooo good ol' rthyme and blues by The Killer, Go Jerry lee

  • i think Denis Quaid did a better lewis

  • @psycho4334 I think Jerry Lee does the best Jerry Lee Lewis

  • @psycho4334

Sure did but this was after all a flick on Johnny Cash :)

  • excelente canción

  • i love the way he says lousiana ;D

  • @KathleenStenhouse Lewis-iana xD

  • @KathleenStenhouse ye damn right hes better then the original!!!

  • @KathleenStenhouse and piano --- PEE-ANA

  • called the lewis boogie... in the lewis way ♥

  • he kills it on the piano

  • "you've got yourselves a pine box boys...nobody follows a killer."

  • they have a way of making people feel and think just like metal does today or it does me

  • They should make another movie about Jerry Lee, but with Waylon playing him. It would be amazing.

Waylon acts more like him then Dennis did.

  • I love this guy!

  • this is not Lewis this is some fag

  • @hillbillyboy77 seriously dude. Its an acting gig. How can you even suggest that this guy is a fag if he auditioned for the part. And got it. I would rather watch him do this part than friggin Dennis Quaid in great balls of fire. At least this guy actually sings

  • @TheBSxperience Exactly I agree. Dennis Quaid acted half mentally challenged in that role. This guy is much better.

  • it shows the actor can't play the piano himself because when he starts playing, the third note is played higher than the second note, whereas it should be played lower than the second note :)

  • @alexpriceuk Dude the song sounds completley different. He's not playing it wrong. He's playing the way they told him to

  • That guy's totally not playing guitar. It's comical how he's fake-playing it.

  • you have to wait 1:40 befor the good part comes on =( BUT, IT'S A GOOD COPY)

  • is this the actor singing?

  • @danhabsfan9 yeah its the actor.. if u type in "Lewis Boogie" by the real Jerry Lee Lewis is sounds so different

  • This is a FANTASTIC goddamn cover...

  • God gave us a great big apple, see, and He said don't touch it! He didn't say touch it once in a while; He didn't say take a nibble when you're hungry; He said don't touch it! Don't think about touchin' it, don't sing about touchin' it, don't think about singin' about touchin' it!

  • @latinheataintbeat911 Dude I have a recording Jerry Lee. Basically saying the same thing to sam phillips. Its really comical. And its really him talkin about how they are all goin to hell. I ahve got one of the best collections of Jerry Lee ever seen by the human eye

  • Great song!

  • Sang it REALLY good.

  • i love the old version, but this is very good

  • GOSH! the blinding light and the music gives me the chills everytime!

  • Over all the people who have tried to play the killer in movies and tv and plays and everything waylon payne has to do the best job

  • the best jerry lee lewis song ever, legend

  • this guy sucks compared to "the killer"

  • @Jacobsdaballer right on

  • Is it just me or is this guy like hot? lol

  • awesome song. love the way he sings it in this too

  • I just found out that Waylon Payne is the son of Sammi "Help Me Make It Through the Night" Smith.

  • that was really GREAT!!!

  • they should remake great balls of fire staring waylon payne instead of denis quade. they should have the guy who directed walk the line direct it as well. the first movie does no justice to jerry lee, very cheesey.

  • the piano playing's nice, I just can't (being a pianist myself) stand watching the video.

  • Give me The Killer over any modern artist any day of the week.

  • @supermanoftheoc : amen

  • @supermanoftheoc hes got a new album, haven't heard it yet but its called mean old man

  • Waylon Malloy Payne did a great job portraying Jerry Lee Lewis in the film. I love Jerry Lee and the movie.

  • @Rohdigum123 yeah jerry lee was fucking great in the film

  • thats the killer baby

  • jerry is awsome i love him

  • Movie might be filled with inaccuracy, but it's still a great movie. This is one of my favorite scenes. If Hollywood got everything right all the time, a lot of movies would be boring.

  • You think their history is boring?

  • 3:01 he is awsome lol

  • did he just offend elvis there! man i love jerry lee!!!

  • There is so much historically wrong in this movie. This clip has them touring in '55. Jerry Lee didn't even come to Sun until Nov. '56 let alone have Lewis Boogie written. The part about Elvis singing Hound Dog is pretty stupid since Elvis didn't record it for another year after this supposedly happened and nobody even knew who Jerry Lee was yet. I still like the movie. Just wished Hollywood would get things right for a change.

  • It's just to make it obvious who each character is. Writing a movie is kind of like writing a book report. You can't assume everyone in the audience knows who is who. Most people know Elvis sang "Hound Dog" it's one of his biggest hits. This song introduces Jerry Lee Lewis and what he's all about, which is kind of flamboyant and eccentric. It's a way to inform the audience. Otherwise half the theater would be saying "Wait, who is this guy?"

  • I understand, but for me being anal when it comes to things being correct, it grates on me. I know they have to appeal to the masses.

  • Haha Walk the Line is great man. I knew about all these guys before but I didnt really really get into the music untill after I saw the movie. Waylon is pretty good as Jerry Lee. I love Jerry Lee he's such a cut up lol.

  • joaquin pheonix sounds like cash.

  • I love all the guys they chose for this movie! One of the best movies ever made!

This movie change my style, now I always need a little rockabilly in my life :)

  • Fucking Amazing... man those guys used to rock back in the day... My grandparents must have been dancing like crazy to those records... I love it.

    Thanks

  • And the ones that are still alive STILL rock! I heard Jerry still tours. If he ever shows up round' where I live, I'm gonna sell a kidney if I have to to go see em'.

    - Jon

  • man that kid plays quite close to jerry lee! and sounds like him too.!

  • JERRY LEE IS THE KING!!! :D

  • So I think there were flaws in this movie first of all Elvis had left Sun records by the time jerry lee lewis came around but they did meet in late 56 and that was the famous million dollar quartet session

  • Yh but they toured together.... and they did the louisiana hayride

  • Presley and Lewis didn't

  • that piano work doesn't even sound like Lewis, it's more like Merrill E. Moore

  • Does anybody know the name of the song that is playing when they blow up the tree in the "walk the line" movie??? please tell me !!!!!!!!

  • are you talking about rock n roll ruby?

  • what you mean the one right after it blows or right before?

  • i was wondering if anybody knew what the name of the song thats playing when they blow up the tree in the movieis named becuz ive been loooking for it forever but i couldnt ever find it

  • I think Waylon Payne is every bit as sexy as the real Jerry Lee...well, he's a brilliant actor in that film, anyway.

  • well I can't say I find him "sexy" lol but I know what you mean. He plays Jerry Lee down to a tea!

    XD

  • When Jerry Lee plays the piano he is god.

  • one of my favorite lines

"does your mama know your out?

    she knows. she knows" lol

  • haha yea that was my fav. part too i love his laugh.

  • whaoo lol when i first saw this movie i thoght that when they picked him he was so much like jerry lee lewis hes so cute. i think that hes cuter than the actual jerry lee, but damn he knows what hes doing when he plays the piana. lol.

  • amazing... chills down my back

  • okay look look look.

NOBODY but Jerry Lee Lewis can be just like Jerry Lee.

NOBODY but Johnny Cash can be just like Johnny Cash.

Just like nobody but Elvis could truly portray him exactly. So its totally okay for an actor/actress to portray a real character a little bit differently than the actual person. And on the note of his playing and singing, its impossible to replicate a real musician's playing exactly in a movie. so chill

  • I hear what your saying mate, and your exactly right IMO.

The actors in 'Walk The Line' did a fantastic job of portraying those people at that point in time!

    Fantastic movie!

  • Yea espesioly Waylon Payne hes hott lol. But yea Jerry Lee Lewis and those guys really changed the world with their music and Elvis he brought rocken role to the perfect place.

but i like the part in this peice where they where saying they gave him a sugestion to do some music

Yea that was the last time we gave that basterd a sugjestion hahaha. nice. are you austrelion or brittish?

  • Waylon Payne is so sexy!

  • jopp...xD

  • in the movie jerry lee is so funny, and the song is soo great.

  • Yup........real life too

  • lewis boogie 1955...

    whahahaaaaaaaaaaaaa

    good lord...

  • People had never heard music like this before. The good ole USA really set the world on fire with our musical geniuses. Then came The Beatles....

  • no one can play after the killer!

  • Though it's not right that Lewis Boogie was his first No. 1 hit, this song is quiete good and sounds really great

  • Lewis boogie never even hit the charts

  • The Only problem with this performance is that Jerry Lee Lewis always plays a lot of left hand bass-lines, he would be much more likely to take his right hand of the piano, than his left, but this guy's using mostly just his right hand!

  • good eye

  • chilout... hes done a great job improvising JLL

  • walk the line

  • ....Walk the line?

  • Comment removed

  • hope ur joking

  • if u want to see a movie about Jerry The Killer Lee Lewis U can see Great Balls Of Fire!...the movie if jerry where Dennis Quaid play's Jerry lee lewis and wynona rayder his cousin with he get' married

  • cash went on stage before lewis and lewis was his friend...

  • this is amazing,, what that guy did whit the piano

  • dude this guy isa monster at the pianio

  • He doesn't act/sing/play/sound like Jerry Lee at all. This is a joke. Even Dennis Quaid was better!

  • Dude, i like him better then quaid. first. in my opinion he looks more like jerry lee (especially the hair). second. he sings himself in wich he does a real good song. third. acting. quaid doesnt sing, so he does lipsync. in wich he isnt very good cuz he does overacting. to that comes, that quaid has his 100 minutes of playing the charakter where he can fire of everything he got. that guy just has like his 2 minutes if they are 2 minutes at all to give you the impression he is jerry lee.

  • Okay, fine. He sings; that doesn't mean he sounds like Jerry Lee. Even the piano playing doesn't sound like Jerry Lee. Perhaps the hair looks better, that doesn't mean his face looks better. And - by the way - they didn't tour together in 1955; Jerry Lee became a member of Sun Records in late 1956.

  • i think its even better that he doesnt tries to imitate jerry lee 1 one 1. i just think he shows the whole spirit of what he stood for perfectly and thats whats in my opinion enough. i mean, nobodys able to copy a legend perfectly. and he does whats good for the movie, he gives you a good image of how the shows these days where.

  • Jeez... when you make an autobiographical movie, you ought to do better. That's my opinion. 'A month later he came back with Lewis Boogie'!? No way. It was The End Of The Road. Jack Clement knows it.

  • stop being so critical. if you don't like how they made the film, then gtfo of this page. duh.

personally, i think they made this movie really fookin well.

  • Can't handle criticism?

I'm jest gettin' warmed up, baby!

  • They made the hair look better on Walk The Line though (that's important, haha)

This is a movie about Johnny, not Jerry Lee, that's the reason why Jerry's "figure" is so out of touch (i don't really now if that's the word to use)

  • The hair is about the only thing...

But on tour with Cash in '55!?

    Quite impossible...

  • yeah, i now!

    A pretty big miss.

  • 'he had written the song Lewis Boogie'?

  • 'came to Sun Records around the same time as Cash'?

  • I thought jerry came to sun in 57?

  • He came there in late 1956, but his first big hit was in 1957! It was Whole Lotta Shakin' Going on!

  • Thanks for the briefing. Have a good day.

  • I guess that guy don't now what he's talking about.

But i do, Johnny and Jerry is equally good.

  • no what i mean is that the guys performance in that movie isnt so important

  • It is, actually - if you want the movie to be realistic, then you need the people in Cash's life to be portrayed realistically.

Every roll was important to nail to make this movie as real and loyal as possible.

  • o nvm. sorry

  • he did the beginning wrong!

    it goes

"My name is Jerry lee Lewis,

    i come from Ferriday Louisana"

he says "My name is Jerry Lee Lewis,

    im from Louisana"

    X[

  • i never heard jerry say Ferriday Louisana. been listening to it but keep hearing im from Louisiana

  • This is true although he was from Ferriday it was not in his song

  • Jerry Lee said that he wanted that man to play him in Great Balls Of Fire, and not Dennis Quaid!
