@1966RWB Okay, okay, okay - it's not like I went down to a studio every night for 10 years and obsessed over it like I was Brian Wilson, or whomever - I did it once in 1998 for a Chicago cable access channel, wasnt satisfied with the technolgy the station had, forgot about it for 9 years, 8 months and however many days - THEN, re-edited it one night about 2 in the morning when I couldn't sleep (SIGH)
@1966RWB I laughed when I read your comment, and when I wrote my response, I did so with tongue-in-cheek. I'm sorry if I came across as being pissed off.
Love the video, you did a great job putting this together. I love this song, it's one of my favorites by her. She was truly one of a kind, she really knew how to rock.
I believe Gene Simmons wrote this song as he produced the album ("W.O.W"). Gene also played bass on this album and is credited under the name Van Helsing. Ace and Paul also played on this album. Ace played lead on the song "Bump 'N' Grind". W.O.W. is a great record. The follow-up Kommander of Kaos was not as good. If you like this song check out WOW and The Plasmatics "Coup D'Etat".
Is the regular video w/o this weird and annoying footage available? This is the song that was playing on the TV Putter and Ophelia were watching in "The Legend of Billie Jean" when BJ comes running over and tells them they need to go to the police station about her brother's scooter.
LOL- you make a good point. :) I had to laugh when I read your email. True, I think both movies are part of the Awesomely Bad category. To each his own I guess.
@ClarenceFisher actually "the Ledgend of Billy Jean" was a better movie than "Mommie Dearest". Granted mommy was one twisted sick and perverted movie...which should have redeemed the crap scipt. Watched both in the theater (no date either time damnit). Then again On Golden Pond was sublime.
THis is the song playing in the video that Putter and Ophelia are watching in that early scene of "Legend of Billie Jean" when BJ comes running over and tells Ophelia they have to go to the police station.
No thanks needed, was more than happy to give kudos to the "art" you created. And the fact that you used that song alone? You have no idea! I was beginning to believe that NO ONE ELSE had EVER heard it before! Then to view the video pairing along with the music? PRICELESS!
I have loved the Plasmatics since I first saw Wendy smash a tv set (or a wall of them). Instantly snapped up all the albums, including her solo stuff. It's My Life became sort of an anthem - even 22 years later.
Wendy's WOW album is very hard to find on CD, so I downloaded this track - funny thing was, it's a file taken from a vinyl copy. You can hear a hint of pop and crackle - no snap, though.
thats awesome
