It can't be the end, because no one knows the end or the time of the Second Coming. There might be some solar flares, but they always hype this stuff. i think there's a 2012/fear crowd and a 2012/enlightenment crowd. when i research i always look towards the enlightenment side, so i really can't tell how much of the current interest is fear--based or if it's more on the new age side.
i don't consider myself christian, but i appreciate your grounded attitude. i have a concern that as 2012 nears, there could be a publicly heated debate between christians and new agers, so i recognize that your demeanor promotes civility.

It is written in the word that there will be a time when you will not know the seasons, I believe that if 2012 came around nothing drastic will happen but the climate would become very peculiar forcing drought, excessive heat, cold, tsunamis, earthquakes, hurricaines, floods, ect, that then forces the widespread of famine and disease. which is prophesied in the bible.

Wow... Im 17 And I was Really Scared... Im Not A Bad Person But I Am A Teen. I Drink SOmetimes... Never Smoked Anything Or Done Drugs In my Life. I Try To be Good. i Swear Now And Then . It Slips Out. And I Pray, Im Trying To Be good. I Just Dont Know Anymore. I Beleive 100% in god and his plan. but this 2012 thing scares me becasue i dont know if im ready for god.

Its ok... if you truly love God, and I'm thinking you want to, then you'll put aside your own personal pleasures and try to get to know God...
I can personally say, being a Christian is fun when:
You trust in the Lord fully and you have friends who share your faith. My attitude seems carefree to most people but I put my trust in Jesus and I don't worry.

the 2012 thing aint even what brainwashed people think it means..... the mayan calendar ends on dec 21st 2012 and that is the end of our evolutionary cycle meaning our brains cannot evolve anymore...... read up on it for heaven sakes. Everythng is shaped on how u are grown up and how your genetics are. We are on a schedule. Look at the calendar close how we evolve in thinking and how we evolve as lifeforms is quite staggering. Most of this goes agains all religions. From what ive seen all religions have copied eachother in someway. with the Maya u had pure freedom. u had no rules on how 2 live and u werent held back by thinking u were gonna go to hell when you die if u break a commandment. idk.....

What made me change. Evolution making more sense than pure creation all though i believe a higher power of some sort created it. Whether we are a petri dish made by a higher alien power. It has been 60 yrs since 1948, and assuming the final wars last for 30 years, the starting date should be within 10 yrs away. if 2012 is a guess by satan, then i must say satan is a very very good guesser. I find myself not reading my Bible so so many times but I do hold on to Christ being my Savior. I know without a shadow of a doubt. And since I have such a hard time reading, I keep myself in church because its a weak area of mine. I do believe alot of the things in this world are evil, theres no doubt. I praise God that alot of bad people and bad things can and are being exposed. But I have to remember to not fear, and cant let it get to my head...because Satan would love it if it were to.

Very well said. I love how you just put it out there for people to rest in Christ--so true. I had been letting 2012 and other things get me kinda low lately but you picked me back up. You hear all sorts of things these days about our evil government, nwo, freemasons, illuminati, niburu, etc etc. have to wonder if alot of it is just disinofrmation to make us believe a lie. Our biggest threat her on planet Earth is from mankind himself and that came/comes from Satan.
