  • But very clean

  • I think this is slightly incorrect. D+D (0.1), B+B+D, D+D+D (0.2), C+C, D+D (0.1). This sould make 7 D elements + D Dismount = 3.2 + CV = 0.4 + Required elements is 2.5. Makes it 6.1

  • @RiciB1974

Hy RiciB1974 - I am copying a post from someone else on IG forum.. The UB routine was scored at a 6.2 D score according to the IG official scores table but if it's a 6.1 it's great to know she upgraded from a 5.9 to a 6.1 (or 6.2). It took Amelia Racea and Raluca Haidu over a year to upgrade to over a 6.0 and Iordache less than 6 months.... talk about talent for sure.

  • @RiciB1974

Thanks so much (I can't remember if I thanked you).

  • Does anybody now the D score of this routine and of the beam's routine of Catalina? Thank you.

  • @solferrer1 I think it's a 5.8/5.9... And Catalina's new beam routine is out of a 6.4 however she can have a 6.6 with the full-in.

  • @ShawnVikaKomova2012 Thanks! Larisa's routine is a little different to the one she did in July..she still has room for more difficulty I think, but somebody said she was coming out of injury (which I didn't know). So Cata's routine would be more difficult that the one she did at worlds? I love her signature move of the back flip into split (feel free to correct my terms, I am not a native English speaker).

  • @solferrer1 Ah, the Kolesnikova? I love it too. And yes, it would be more difficult.

  • @ShawnVikaKomova2012 Amazing how she keeps upgrading, she is really going for more!

  • @solferrer1 It really is. She's very impressive on beam and floor. Iordache's upgrading like crazy. This girl has it in it to be the Olympic AA champion. Amazing difficulty (everywhere), great execution (except bars), powerful, artistic, an entertaining performer, and she has a really competitive and strong mindset. Perfect gymnast. She just needs a bit of work on her lines and bars.

  • @ShawnVikaKomova2012 I would love to see a Romanian AA champion, although I wouldn't mind a Russian winning. It has been a while since there is either a Romanian or a Russian AA champion.

  • @solferrer1 It has. I wouldn't mind anyone as long as I like them. So basically Grishina, Komova, Mustafina, Zeng (if she upgrades), Yao, Iordache, Porgras (I wish), and Murakami (new Produnova?). It hasn't been too long for Romania. 2000. Russia's never had one. Well, people from Russia that representated the Soviet Union of course... But no one representing Russia.

  • @ShawnVikaKomova2012 Yes, you're right. It has been longer for Russia. However, I find that lately it has been hard for Romania to have a strong AA contender.

  • @solferrer1 I agree. Porgras, Chelaru, Racea, and Haidu are all good, just not strong enough. I'm praying Larisa will be the first to break this chain of weak Romanian AAers since 2000.

  • @ShawnVikaKomova2012 Well, we shouldn't forget Stela Nistor who was a strong AA really, but not in her best shape in Beijing. An incredible gymnast, I loved her approach, always seemed relaxed and enjoying her performances.

  • @ShawnVikaKomova2012 We shouldn't forget Stela Nistor who was a real strong AAder but not in her best shape in Beijing. I still miss her relaxed approach, enjoying her performance.

  • @solferrer1 Oh my God, how'd I forget her!!! She just disappeared to quickly. I wish she'd make a comeback. Even for bars!

  • @ShawnVikaKomova2012 I wish that too. But when she attemped a comeback, she had problems with her back and hand (or wrist), so she quit. Her bars and beam were exciting to watch, so confident!

  • @solferrer1 When did she attempt a comeback? How'd I not hear of this.... Haha.

  • @ShawnVikaKomova2012 I think it was immediately after B&B took over...I read it somewhere...

  • @solferrer1 Oh so about a year ago? Close to a year and a half? Wow.

  • @ShawnVikaKomova2012 For some reason apparently I cannot paste the link, but I found the piece of news on Stela's comeback. It was in Thecouchgymnast of August 26, 2010.

  • @solferrer1 Oh, wow! Yeah, YouTube doesn't let you post links on comments but you can in personal messages. I checked it out and read it. It really didn't say much, haha. Thank you!

  • @ShawnVikaKomova2012 Yeah, it didn't say much, a translation of a Romanian magazine for sure. We should try to learn Romanian!

  • @solferrer1 It's such a pretty language! We definitely should, haha! I resort to google translate though, haha.

  • @ShawnVikaKomova2012 Haha. I am a translator En-Sp so I hate automatic translation, haha. I try to understand what I read in Romanian (being slightly similar to Spanish) but I still find it rather hard...

  • @solferrer1 Yeah, Romanian does sound similar to Spanish. Same for Italian, but I tend to prefer the sound of the last, haha. Romantic languages are the prettiest.

  • @ShawnVikaKomova2012 Someone marked it as: KCH-Maloney-clear hip full-half turn-half turn-piked jaeger KCH-stalder full-tkatchev-pak KCH-toe-on half-stalder shoot Kch-toe-on full-full twisting double back D-D-B-B-D 0.2 D-D-D 0.2 C-C D-D 0.1 DDDDDDDD = 3.2 0.5 2.5 --- 6.2 (Judith from IG).. Not sure if it is correct though but if so then she definitely upgraded it from a 5.9 (Trazon UB routine) to a 6.2.
  • @serenenz @RiciB1974 Thank you both. I wasn't sure if this was a new routine and was just going by what I had heard earlier.

  • Why didn't she compete on beam also?

  • @irs07 she had a knee injury about 4 months ago and probably didn't want to take any risks... Also Catalina Ponor might want to test her new BB routine before heading to the big competitions next year.
