I don't really remember UMK3, but playing this version these days is an absolute riot, it's so much good natured fun. It's still wonderfully and deliberately insane. I love the 3D graphics in this one, I wish more iOS fighters evaded sprites for 3D models and backgrounds. Great review.

I played 1.0.4 edition...... New edition 1.2.57 is much better !!!!!! With new characters! Great !

This game costs 1$ in AppStore. In fact,it's not worth 1$.the Game is total disappointment.This mk3 for iPhone is insanely difficult,not mentioning freaky controlling...it feels like developers created the game & didn't play it at all. do they know that touch-screen & game-pads r different things? --> HAVE U TRIED 2 BEAT SHAO KAHN WITH KITANA? Try. It's impossible. <-- If I am wrong,please, upload your video where u did it.

@TheNaytron i beat the game easy with all the characters on grandmaster difficulty easily dude, u just got predict thecpu moves

its a decent game at .99, even if its insanely difficult. street fighter is a much, much better fighter on the idevices and more than worth it

Fighting games aren't meant to be on iDevices. Mortal Kombat happens to be one of them.

I really wish I'd watched this review before I bought this game. Even at $0.99, I'm not really all that happy with it.

I am wondering if more characters will be added via DLC though.

Sadly it is the controls that brought me down. It just seems so... off some how. Not sure how to put it, which I suppose is the main thing stopping me from starting my own set of reviews. I'd hate to not have the right words to describe what I find.

Best part about iPhone games is they can easily be patched. Just make sure you review the game based on what it is, not what it could be if they get patched and I'll continue to be entertained and informed.

I have this game for about a week now. As a huge mortal kombat fan on the late mega drive, i can tell you this wont disapoint you, except for the virtual joystick wich is really rubish...

This game may not be worth a buy NOW but... it'll probably get a crap ton of updates... hopefully... like Street Fighter 4.
