A friend of mine works at the VA and his job is go over the documents about Soldiers looking for treatment. Basically his job is to approve or deny benefits. He's been approving most of them because they meet the criteria. The higher-ups there are on him for not denying enough. He's on the verge of losing his job.

Is there a 2nd review in that process or is he the only approval prior to treatment? And are there different classes of injury and if so does he do all classes or is he confined to one or more specific class?
