Oh, you can buy these on the spot, immediately. I justed wanted to customize my car, with a very specific color combination, and specific extras and packages. There are literally millions of possible combinations, and the dealer can have only a few of them.
That's a nice car dude. I just ordered mine, straight form Munchen. They didn't have manual available. I kinda feel like you can't really drive unless you can drive a stick, and if you really know how to use one, you're unstoppable. Been driving sticks since I was 7 (in my backyard of course)!

I'd normally prefer manual over automatic, but this way my wife can drive the car as well. I also read some negative comments about the manual in the 3-series coupe, and the automatic got great reviews + I have the paddle shifters. I am pretty happy with it.
My bad. I meant the dealers didn't have any available, so I had to order from BMW. I test drove the automatic, and it is by far the best automatic I have ever seen or driven, but it still took a few too many seconds to, for example, downshift from 6 to 3. I only noticed because I'm hardcore stick all the way.
I feel you on the wife thing. That's the drawback with sticks, nobody else can drive them. It'd be a shame if your significant other couldn't drive every now & then. But I'm single now!
Did you put the automatic into Sport (S) mode? It will shift much quicker, but you will feel a slight jerk. You essentially trade comfort for sportiness. The transmission will also go higher with the RPM in Sport mode, and the engine sounds even better.
It costs less if you take the European Delivery, up to 7% in the US. Plus you get two air tickets for the price of one. You can visit the BMW factory in Munich, and the delivery center (BMW Welt) is a great experience. Then head straight to the Autobahn :-) Lots of fun. Can absolutely recommend it.

Ended up with a white ext black int sedan. The coupe's ride was too harsh for me, although it looks sleeker. I've no regrets though. The sedan has both the sportiness and that luxurious comfortable ride that's important for me as well, and it also looks sleek. Good luck to you.

I really love my color combination and couldn't be happier. Sparkling graphite has a red hue in my opinion when the sun is shining on it directly. It goes really well with the red interior I think. It kind of reflects the inside on the outside. I am not a big fan of black exteriors due to the problems of keeping it clean and potential swirl marks. Space gray was very common when I got the car, and I wanted something different, plus I would have to take the boring black interior with it.
The new M3 was not out yet when I ordered my 335. And the 335 has about the same power than the old M3. But frankly, I would rather have bought a minimalisticly equipped Cayman S than the new M3..

In my neighbor hood there are 2 bmw m3's 3 bmw 750li's and 2 porche convertables and only 1 bmw 335i and when I first saw the 335i I thought it was the prettiest from the back because of the way the exhaust is placed and just the overall shape of the trunk and brake lights...also i like your 335i the red interior reminds me of an m3. But to be honest my overall favorite care is the m3 because it sounds nothing less than AMAZING!!!!

bmws are not that appealing in terms of their exterior design, and especially their interior qualities. a friend made a comment the other day that if you stick a honda sign onto a bimmer, there wound be some people out there who would truly believe that it's a honda. now that's pretty embarassing for a luxury car company.
I am not sure what he or she is saying either; I think the person is trying to talk about the quality of a BMW which is quite piss poor in relation to an Audi or a Volvo. The handling is great but the interior of Volvos and Audis last longer as far as having durability. If I roll a Volvo for its safety and longevity, a BMW for its handling and an Audi for its high quality interior design I would have one hell of a car.
