  • Very cool, man! Perfect capture, this EasyCAP seems to work nicely indeed. I'm gonna look it up to see if I can get this thing, it's worth the money. Thanks for sharing, nice video man.

  • @MSfeller Cheers mate! For the price, EasyCAP really does do a good job on SD resolutions. I wrote an "EasyCAP Guide" for the NewNet if you wanna check out more detailed info on how I use it.

  • ruby heart<3

  • Me encanta este juego solo lo e jugado en Arcades.

  • does it run faster on ps2 then a dreamcast emu anyone know ?

  • nice vid and thanx for the awesome frame

  • @MrKillerhornet Thanks! Cool, Atarix showed you the frame. Look forward to seeing his stream render of your Star Wars Battlefront 2 capture and in my frame design on your channel then. Lol, now that's teamwork! :D

  • @neckshredder1 - you are late pete, its already on his channel since about 9 hours ;-D

Tonight I will prepare Backforwardpunch's video, too - all I need is jeliahz's frame to prepare his last 2 vids and I will be in "Real time" again with all that work ^^

  • @Atarix777 Lol OK, I didn't know that yet. :S

  • I am happy to see, that your tests are coming to an end... A stabile frame rate and a good resolution, what can we ask more? ^^

  • @Atarix777 Ah thanks, it helps to hear that since I don't always get a stable frame rate when watching vids on my dinosaur of a PC. I can do higher resolutions, but I'm not sure if there's much point going past 480p when I have to capture the source at a small size to begin with. That's still a pretty nice PS2 test for me though. Now I'm looking at my Wii and Gamecube games and thinking what to try next... ;-)

  • @neckshredder1 - To capture in a highter resolution is not helping when the game doesn't supported it, at the end this can even reduce the quality of the end result.

Better fluent and in a bit lower resolution then high and with fps drops - we do not want to see a HD Diashow at the end ;-D

  • @Atarix777 I guess the same applies to rendering at a higher res in VDub. If the source is not HD res, then I don't see the point in rendering the vid at 720p or 1080p for YT. Might as well stick with a 480p render like I did here. OK cool, I'll keep using this method then.

  • @neckshredder1 - "If the source is not HD res, then I don't see the point in rendering the vid at 720p" - You got the point ^^.

The only reason why I render 480P stuff in 720P is because youtube works better with my 720P WMV codec (what depends on my software), but if I render things just for watching them on my computer, there is not difference to see...

The option that you used on VDub looks really very good - maybe you should test a game with a lot of little details to see how it looks like

  • @Atarix777 Same mind again mate. ;-) Even though I'm keen to try some tests on different consoles now, I've also been wondering how a more graphically detailed PS2 game like Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance would turn out.

  • @neckshredder1 - I think it should look very good; as slower the motion in a game is, as more details you will see on the captured file (because its depending on the bitrate).

Well, I guess its time to present soon your first vid on the stream, then we can have a vote about it ;-D

  • @Atarix777 Cool, then I'll make Baldur's Gate the next test.

I've long since lost track of how many vids I've presented on the stream, but I knew what you meant; my first vid captured off an actual console. ;-)

  • @neckshredder1 - Ups, yes, of course I meant the first "captured" vid ^^

  • Great intro mate, it really is awesome !!!! It's time for the dynamic duo of Captain Commando and War Machine (Or Iron-Man depending) to return !!!!

  • @eliaskementse Now that I have a capture card I'll be able to do all sorts of game recordings from my consoles. It's gonna be a lotta fun! :D

Don't forget, this is MVC2 so you make trios, not duos. In this way, you could have a team of Captain Commando, Iron Man, and War Machine if you wanna. With 56 playable characters there are so many team-ups it's crazy!

  • @neckshredder1 Trios huh ??? OK then I will certainly get the ones you mentioned !!!

  • @eliaskementse Yeah, the matches are 3 on 3 tag battles. If you wanna play this game you will need it for one of the following systems - Dreamcast, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Network (PS3), Xbox, or Xbox Live Arcade (360). It's not ready for MAME yet.

  • @neckshredder1 Nevermind I'm pretty sure that MY computer will be able to play it. Come on!!! It does what it wants but it's time for something good to happen !!!

  • @eliaskementse Lol, I dunno, maybe it's possible to get it running OK on a DC emu. I never looked into it though since my PC is far too old for that and I have the game for my PS2 anyway.

  • You gotta be pretty happy with this mate, it came out great.

  • @Shilo83 Thanks mate. :D

It took some doing to get it to a level I was happy with. Now it's time to try the EasyCAP on some of my other consoles.
