Ive got my own special "green dragon" . One time, thinking i was absolutely brilliant, I took a little everclear and put it on a green bowl. My thought process was that it would burn slowly and continously so you only have to light it once and pass it around. Cool video, I recommend administration sublingually with a spray bottle. If you swallow it still goes into the gi tract and takes just as long as an edible. Spraying it under the tongue is much faster because of all the nerves bellow. When sprayed under tongue there is a rapid onset 1-5 minutes.

its not necessary to boil it so long that the green chlorophyll comes out. I believe a 4 minute soak in grain alcohol in your freezer is sufficient to release the 'sugar' crystals. Then strain it before you begin to distill it.

The method of preparation is the source of the problem. Make sure to use a real canning jar. Mayonnaise jars are not safe because the glass IS thinner, and they are not manufactured to withstand high temperatures. Canning jars are specifically made with thicker glass to withstand higher temperatures. However, that does not mean they can withstand direct contact with the heat source.

@zenmeadow 2. To prevent your jar from cracking you should place a cooking/canning rack in the bottom of the pan during the boiling process. An alternative would be to use a piece of wire shaped into a triangle that you would set the jar on top of. I have a piece that came with my glass coffee percolator, but the wire from a coat hanger might work also. If safety procedures are used, there is absolutely no reason one can not re-use a canning jar because that is what they are made for.

The alcohol probably helps absorbtion into the bloodstream too, it's just that 100% alcohol both smells if someone opens the bottle... and it burns your tongue & throat a bit.

@hardwirecars cause in bubble hash (hash made with ice/water) the extreme cold hardens the trichomes making them brittle so the fall of the plant matter easily, when you filter the water the bubble bags all the trichomes get caught in the bags and in the final bag you are left with a gooey hash like paste and when you dry the water out of it you are left with hash. but with this you are trying to extract the THC out of the plant, THC isn't water salable but is salable in butter/fat and alcohol.

Great vid!! Tried it and it worked well. I did 30 mins @ 285 degrees and wished I had not done so long or hot. The bud looked vaped (brown) when I took it out of the oven and I was immediately dissappointed. However, tinc works great. I'll try lower temp/less time next time. Also, coffee grinder for only a few sec chopped too fine I think. Question: If you don't plan to use this immediately, wouldn't it help to leave the herb in the solution for a few weeks (combining the hot and warm method)?

I can attest that this works. I'm a daily smoker for years and this stuff fucked me up. I took too much one night and ended up almost calling 911 before i calmed myself down. don't go overboard. do this method twice! after straining the first time throw the mush back in with alcohol again and extract again. Then use a fan to evaporate it to the appropriate strength.

@jeffdamiens yea you can use shake or popcorn buds, but if you dont want to use 151, just buy a bottle of isopropyl alcohol and make some iso hash. if you google ISO Hash you can find a lot of tutorials

Great Vid! thanks! The only suggestion I have is about oven temp, 350F is a little higher than necessary. 250F for 5 minutes or so will sufficiently "toast" the herb. Raw cannabis mostly contains THCA (inactive form) it has to be heated to convert it to THC, this happens rapidly at 223F. THC evaporates in the 355F-392F range. Thanks again for the vid. @superfilipino What I usually do like a dropper full into a glass of water, or some juice, soda, wahtever you want. Drinking it straight will burn because its pretty much all alcohol. Just start small amount until you get to your sweet spot
