I just want to say something. Male Launcher Awakenings can beat Female Launcher.

Why? Well you can escape a female's awakening by just moving to the side before the giant ass lazer pwns your ass. Once you do that you can basically counter with anymoves. So the only damage you would take is probably the lazer beams trying to lock you in for the big blast (which is very weak). And with Male Launcher awakenings. You drop a giant beam on there asses and it follows them. :]

@Ochipso No really, monsters can move out the way, especially like the one in bringand and bwanga. Male as soon as you get hit by it, you need movement speed to get out. In addition you can use your other cubed skills which will make it 2x stronger expecially with extruder by your side. Female has to lvl their's up to a good amount to do the damage we do.

female launcher skills are a bit weaker but their skills can hit enemies on the ground while males can't and the female launcher awakening is much better than the male launcher in terms of damage

both ranger awakenings are very weak and are only good for mobbing so they're pretty even with that and other skills

female mech awakening is much more superior than the male mech

@SleepyPyro Female Launcher awakening does vastly more damage than the male's. It's widely know that Male Launcher's awakening damage is laughable and it seems that Extruder can match the damage.

Male Ranger's awakening is very weak... Female's can be extremely powerful depending on how you use it. Don't forget: her awakening is a transformation type and lasts 60 seconds, giving you more than enough time to do some serious damage.

@thrilmaster It's a Playstyle preference. But generally, females make better rangers, and spitfires. Launchers are equal either way, and male mechanics get more powerful robot spam abilities, while female mechs get mastery over the little support robots that hover behind them..

@Kisame11709 Actually, NA DFO is more of a mix and mash of acts one through three. Which you should know because Priests didn't get added until a little after Act One, I think. Plus, Fighters and Mages(I think)have had their balance patches except for the Witch.

Awakening's can't be missed at all, and the M. Launcher's awakening can stun/flinch and you can even use your other skills while it's in effect. Unlike the female where it's one big gigantic attack.

I personally think that both sides have their advantages and disadvantages. They're all equal once you put together the range, concentration of attacks (more single area or scattered), damage to a single enemy, damage to multiple enemies, and how long the awakening last.

It is an update the asian versions do have a Thief a of right now is exclusive to them along with a few others I think. Once the class becomes available in our version it would possibly be selected on the Male Gunner like how we select Dungeon Difficulty settings,were getting a Female Slayer class as well

1)Yes. the Awakening skills are different depending on Gender but also how the basic skills function as well.

2) Awakening skills can be activated like all skills. Just place it in one of the quick slots and click the button you put it in. However, unlock basic skills, Awaken skills will need to first cool down before you can use it at all. While, basic skills won't until you use them.

It's up to you, but each class does have its own "built for it" purple weapons for level 20 and up. All short swords are for asuras, and katanas are for soul bringers etc etc. But minus rare weapons, there's nothing holfing you back really.
