  • Wishing you guys ultimate success with your nice video - More eyes should see this

  • I believe the words to this song were written by Ted Ray, a brilliant English comedian, in 1947

  • @achildofthesixties I sang this in a barbershop quartet and the writer of the words was there; at least so he claimed. His name was Bill waddington a famous British Actor and Music Hall performer.

Wikipedia states that "It was sung during WW2 by soldiers and sailors". A little while before 1947. Waddington was a WW2 entertainer. I can't find a definative answer as to who wrote the words and only have Waddington's word that it was him.

Bill lived from 10th June 1916 to 9th Sept 2000

  • Lol, now THAT was awesome ^^

  • Actually, in 1944 Nick Lucas made this sone, or a version of it, if he didn't first make it, it's one of the worlds' unslved mistories. XD

  • megamusicluv laugh out loud your GOOD KEEP US SMILING

  • It may be a Flanigan and Allan song a comedy duo from around WWII in UK. Certainly sounds like one of theirs.

  • LOL, I had never heard those particular lyrics to this song. Since I work at a rehab hospital, this really tickled my funny bone. Thx for posting!
