Home owners screwed them big time. Doesn't matter how much the mortgager wanted to charge if the borrower never paid anything down,and was living there for free for as long as possible. When the borrower leaves and destroyes the house or strips it it's all fair!

This is infuriating, but not at all surprising. Government may be causing this distortion, but it's in the pockets of the banks.
