I love how the game and AC portray Cloud's burial for Aerith.

He sets her to sink in the lake looking down at someone he could have been with romantically: FF7

yet it stills conveys that hurt of losing a comrade and a close friend

His guilt humanizes him and is one reason why we all love Cloud's character

Final Fantasy are such amazing works of art.

In the Japanese original FFVII it's Aerith, but due to a translational error it ended up as Aeris on English versions.

Aeris is the name in the original FF7 for playstation PAL Version (not sure for NTSC) but it was some issue with the translation, the real name is Aerith <3

It is Aerith. 'Aeris' was a mistranslation, hence Aerith being referred to as Aerith in Crisis Core and Kingdom Hearts instead of 'Aeris'.
