HS-55.... better as a steering servo than a drive motor.

u realy need locked diffs,otherwise you wont get that power to the ground off road and u wont be goin anywhere

They are 1/24th scale Revel model trucks. You can get them at toys R us (used to), Drug stores, and some hobby stores (call first). I got mine at Longs Drugs, but they stopped carring model cars/trucks :(

It's not finished yet... it goes too slow and is roughly done. I should be done soon with the new chassis though... its not that hard to do.

does it have four wheel drive by the way? if it doesn't, then i'll just forget it, no sense in doin it. I just want the shorter wheelbase for better breakover angles. what i really want to do is make a totally scale model jeep. (where are the back seats by the way?

It has four wheel drive, I specifically designed it to be a effective scale off roader. I'm trying to make this as scale as possible, but the back seats had to be took out and I had to re-do the rear of the body to allow the Xtruck's rear drive unit to fit in there.

so can you make this with just xmod parts? (i noticed you used a mini-z controller). can the xmod circuitry be used? how much cutting apart/soldering is needed? i really can't wait for your tutorial to come out...

Yeah, but I haven't yet, I want to try to make or buy some limited-slip differentials.
