I've wrestled and played basketball all through high school. Those of you saying Basketball is not a sport, or trying to undermine it for whatever reason, obviously do not understand it completely. Those that call wrestling gay, REALLY do not understand the sport. Both are well respected in my eyes and love both. I'm just glad MMA came along, because it gives wrestlers more of a chance to make a living out of it. The Olympics are great, but other than that event, there is not alot left for them.

Our football team has never had a winning season, let alone win 4 games in a season or 2 in a row in fact. Our wrestling team has had numerous state champions and we are still looked at as the losers of the school. I just don't understand sometimes.

Even though I live in canada, my school's football team gets so much more of everything than our wrestling team. my schools wrestling won cities for both boys and girls (and cities overall obviously), regional girls, 2nd place boys regionals (regionals overall) and 6th place at provincials. the football team for the exact same school didnt even make it past quarter finals

Yea at my school we have about 13 guys without football players, Our football team went to state this year and we didn't have a match until January 12th. Sucked but We've made up for it and I've had 22 matches in 3 weeks. So its whatever And any wrestling would kick any basketball teams asses. And this kid called one of our wrestlers gay cause he wrestled and that guy came to practice and got his ass kicked by our best girl.
