Christianity was brought to Spain by the Romans hundreds of years before the birth of Mohammed and the creation of Islam. Latin is the language of Rome, and Spanish is almost entirely derived of Latin, not the language of the Moors. Most importantly, while there was a significant Moor population in Spain at the time of the settling of the New World it was post Reconquista and the Spaniards who traveled to America and named places like California were Christians and certainly not Moors.

Latin is most certainly not derived from a Moorish language. The alphabets used are completely different, and there is absolutely zero historical evidence suggesting that the founders of Rome came from Moors. The Roman kindom was founded hundreds of years before any contact with the people who would become known as the Moors. And what Moors conquered America exactly, there is no record of them, there are very few Muslim families in the Americas dating back more than a few generations.

There were many black Africans already here before the slave trade. Many before Columbus. We Africans had regular trade routes that we took to travel to and from the Americas. The European somehow think that columbus was the first to land in the Americas but this is NOT true. Not all blacks came from "the middle passage'. We were many who lived among the original Native Americans and many of us had built our own communities. Why do white thinks we never did anything until THEY came along?

In Spain we were building aqueducts, storage for grains, markets, shools, bathhouses, boticannical gardens, building castles and bastiles and military forts, while they were freezing their buns off in cold dark barns. The Reconquista is germane to the debate as you claim Spanish Moors conquered the Americas. In spite of the fact that at the time of the settling of the New World and especially the Western parts of America the Moors had been driven back to a small section of the southern part of Spain and Spain had become an oppressive Catholic state. As to it being a genocide, I don't cry over 700 year old deaths and the original Moorish conquest of Spain was far from bloodless itself
