@bsg7 well its actualy a very fun piece of kit..... once it gets up and running. the problem is, it takes 10 mins to load any game and then tuning it into the tv is in issue if you dont have the remote. but once the games are on the screen, its hard to get me away from it. U.S gamers are missing out!
@emojo1990 that's excellent... its great to see (and don't take this the wrong way), people from the younger generation finding some enjoyment out of the computers and consoles that made up nearly all of my younger years - and ermm, l of the last few years I have left...
uuuhhhhhh... yeah since i posted this, i wanted only to collect genesis games, but i now have an snes, nes top loader, game boy color, advance, advance sp, some boxed n64 games, a bunch of boxed genesis games, an atari 2600, a boxed gameboy game, with some mint condition gameboy games that have the manuals. maaaaaaaaan its really fun, its my favorite hobbie ive ever had. its just fun to get a bunch of old games and take them apart and clean em, and collect them. great hobbie
Oooo Super Magic Drive! I had one of those! Two actually over the years, would you believe I found the first at a Cash Converters in the 90s? Anyway, you are correct, they use a parallel floppy drive. Not sure if any drive will work but you can also connect it to a PC via the parallel port and upload/download games that way using ucon64 or similar app.
Thanks for the info dude, guess I have to keep searching for a drive to fit it.
Might give parsing the games from the PC a try until I can get a drive sorted - I assumed that could be done but wasn't sure (my super wildcard DX and Dr v64 allow this so I just figured...)
spectrum 128k?
emojo1990 1 year ago
@emojo1990 unfortunately not - it's a 48k+ with dodgy a tape input :(

@bsg7 aww, ive still got the one my mum and dad used to play and we have tons of games for it like alien and dragon torque
emojo1990 1 year ago
@emojo1990 Sweet! how do you rate it amongst this gen of consoles / PC dude??
I've got 3 +2s, all different revisions, so i'm not missing out on the 128k love - I just get to do it on an amstrad (SPIT!) produced machine...

No problem, you might want to try the tototek forums for more info, the guys there know these things inside out.
