  • Wow! that is fascinating!

  • It could be that the grackle is showing "anting" behavior. That is where they encourage ants to crawl through their feathers. The ants secrete formic acid, which chases away any tiny bug parasites. Birds have been known to ant with mothballs and cigarette butts as well. Thanks for the videos!
