  • It was his front derailleur cable. The support vehicle tried to fix it so he could only stay in the big ring... which would have killed his legs on the hills and resulted on a horrible run. He was still willing to do it but they stripped the screw and he was forced to either wait 30 mins or forfeit.

  • another dnf just because things weren't going your way. should have pulled off the 'brake' cable and kept going!
