This song means so mcuh to me I cry when I hear it because my grandfather died when I was 6 years old and we always wwent to the beach. I remember when he brought just me on my birthday out to the beach and we would play and we got ice cream and went in the water. I miss him so much, Rest in Peace Grandpa I love you and I wish you were here for me more than anything in the world.

This song haunts me too. It is so authentic, so faithful to the great truths of life and death as we experience them. i remember when my dad died (of cancer), my mom used to play this song over and over and over again in her room at night because she couldnt sleep. this song really helped her i think, especially since she was left alone to raise my brother and i. everytime i hear the song, it makes me think of how hard it was on her, but also of how well she handled everything. she's the best mom anyone could ask for, and the fact that she raised us alone made us a stronger family.

I worked awhile with Ernst Chapman. I only met Beth a time or two. Ernest was a good, good man (he loaned me 50$ when I was down on my luck. I sent the check to Beth a couple of months after his death, with a sympathy card (nicest one I could find); it seemed like the least I could do for a terrific man and his heart-broken wife and child.
