  • what was the first song?

  • @elviejoql

Just want to make sure, but this video was from patch 3.1 in WotLK - the most updated one was 4.0.3, and I updated the text guide for 4.0.6.

But thank you for the feedback! Always happy to hear it's still useful to people even though I'm no longer active. :)

  • Can I ask You a favor please? I play discipline priest too and I'd like to have a perfect skill in Rapture trik. I have scrolling combat text addon but I wasn't able to configure showing a spell icon when scrolling returning mana. I see it shows You the icon of Rapture when Your mana returns from this spell. I think I have propably wrong version of SCT. So could You please be so kind and post me a link to Your version? Here is my e-mail...Dandyc@seznam.cz . Or you can post it simple here :) THX

  • my mind is going buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • were can i get the "healing addon"?

  • @4everbanan Healbot is epic to use

  • update on this for patch 4.0.1.?

  • @Jakegoboom

Changed the video information to make sure people know these tips are no longer current.

My account's been inactive for a few months, but I will be starting back up again tonight or tomorrow. As I play around with specs and gear and everything, I will update this video once I feel confident in my ability to give advice given the changes.

  • @SasquatchGod Sounds good!

  • umm, your awsome mame

  • Thanks!

  • Diggin the music :)

  • im making a disc priest lol

  • hey can you do a video on how you set up your healing bot?

  • so the only addon you use is scrollingcombattext?

i want an addon that i have to click on the player, then either click or hit the number of the spell on my cast bar, like the basic user interface. is that what it does?

    thanks

  • @anticrow

ScrollingCombatText basically just displays parts of your combat log as scrolling lines near your character.

The default raid UI will let you click on a player to target them, so you can subsequently heal them with one of your hotkeyed abilities. I think most healing AddOns will do something similar if you don't like the look of the default UI, though.

  • very helpful video

    thanks

  • "i wish i was a baller, yall"

  • Hey, Im wondering if you use any macros that would help me with healing and also can you list good healing addons that would make the healing job easier for a disc priest. thx :)

  • @ElMomagic

I'd recommend making a target macro for your power infusion.

    /cast [target=whoever] Power Infusion

Just figure out who will put it to the most use in each raid and fill in their name.

As for AddOns, the only one I use for raiding is ScrollingCombatText, since I don't like Blizzard's version. Otherwise, I just use the default UI.

Otherwise, most healers seem to go with a combination of Grid and HealBot. I'm used to the default UI, however, so I play best using it.

  • nice healing only one q abit low mp5 wc? any problem with mana ?

  • @lordsmygen

Actually, most current raid bosses are dead within 6 minutes, and those that aren't often have phases that give you plenty of time to regen (tear gas on Putricide, air phases on Sindragosa).

Between shadowfiend, hymn of hope, and having more healers besides just you, most healers have completely abandoned gemming or enchanting for mana whatsoever, and just focus on spellpower. Mana issues are nigh non-existent at the moment, although Blizzard plans to change that for Cataclysm.

  • wow thanks for the upload. this is one of the best disc priest guides on the tube, nice and detailed. good music too

  • Thank you =)

  • female Belf.... go figure

  • @RRReviews

Ah, but the difference is that I was from the original round of Horde rerolling blood elves to check out the new race, not the Alliance rerolls who wanted to play something pretty on Horde.

  • @SasquatchGod good man :]

  • um whats the add where it has all the names and hp of the people in the raid?

im a noob and am only level 57 but i want to be able to see everyones hp if im healing a raid. im not sure if it comes automatically but u have it there and ive never seen it before?

  • @XxXbobstaXxX

It's the default UI - if you hit O (or, if you've changed it, whatever your "social window" hotkey is), and go to the raid tab, you can drag groups out like I have there by clicking and dragging where it says "Group #"

You can also drag out specific people by dragging their name out from the raid window, as I've done with the tanks.

  • Hey, in regards to disc priests vs holy paladins in raids and whatnot, most icc groups ive seen now nearly always take a holy paladin with them, the beacon providing 2 target healing, i myself play resto and find myself only really suited for raid healing and tank healing support so what other healing classes would you take if u decided to leave the paladin behind? would disk priest be able to support two tanks on lets the lord marrowgar or would a shaman/other healer be a viable tank healer?

  • Very informative video, great for all disc priests to watch. Note that if you have a bigger mana pool, Rapture will give you back even MORE mana than the cost of PW:S -- such an amazing way to gain mana, especially if you pre-bubble raid-wide damage (Rapture has a 45 sec. internal CD, so if you bubble 8/10 people (save tanks), all 8 can pop at the same time - 600+ mana * 8 = a lot of mana back). :)

  • Thanks for your tips, they gona help me well when my priest is 80 =D

And I pronounce mana like that o.o why people say sumthing stupid about things like that x)

  • I wish i was a balla...

  • You pronounce Mana correctly...? I didnt know it was pronounced differently...

  • Does the 'CT_UnitFrames' enable you to set things like a heal bot, for example 'right click flash heal' 'left click greater heal' 'Middle Power Word: Shield'

  • @konnorkarnage

No, all CT_UnitFrames does is allow you to adjust where the health and mana is displayed on your frame and your target's frame. It has a target-of-target function built-in, as well, but I like the default one better.

  • @konnorkarnage

No, all CT_UnitFrames does is allow you to adjust where the health and mana is displayed on your frame and your target's frame. It has a target-of-target function built-in, as well, but I like the default one better.

  • What spells do a disc priest use? Holy or shadow, or both? I mean, how is it the most effective?

  • @Hechatonchery lol...they use disc spells? :)

  • You could use Grid and then you could set up indicators for who has an active shield and the time remaining in Weakened Soul for each person shielded. Makes is a LOT easier than "scrolling through the raid display."

  • mark of wild / kings = Drums of the wild/forgotten kings (LW)

slightly lower buff but still better then nothing.

  • What Add-ons, if any, do you use?

  • @SweatyRussian11

CT_UnitFrames - All this does is show health and mana next to the bars.

ScrollingCombatText - Because I like this one more than Blizzard's.

CT_PartyBuffs - Only affects the party display, not the raid display.

CastingBarTimer - Adds a timer to your casting bar.

That's pretty much it. I like to play with as close to the default UI as possible.

  • what are the healing addons that you use?

  • @Bs46855

Actually, for raid healing, I use the default UI. It tells you if you're out of range for healing others, shows everybody's health by group, and you can drag specific names out (like the tanks), it shows debuffs, and will highlight people with colors according to the debuff type.

  • Yeah i play on the private

  • so pretty much bubble everyone and shadowfiend when below 50% mana

    k lol

  • disc is dmg mitigation

  • yo playa whats ur build and the kickin rad song

  • @bignerd21

The first song is called Golden Cage, by Whitest Boy Alive. The second is Skee-Lo - I Wish.

  • if u heal as disc priest, are u trying to get the top heals or just keep everyone alive?

  • You shouldn't be topping the healing meters as disc, because damage absorbed won't show up. Anyone who gives you a hard time about not being high on the meters doesn't understand what's going on.

  • uh can someone help me. My healbot dosen't show debuffs next to names. so i can't see my Weakened soul and that sucks. any ideas why this is?

  • The only thing i would take in consideration is Power Infusion i wouldn't recommend it for putting it on yourself unless u absolutely need the cheaper mana cost in most fights depending on your raid make up it would be more beneficial to cast Power Infusion on a mage for more DPS on the boss.

  • a good idea for regen in the middle of a fight once everyone is topped off hymn of hope then inner focus + divin hymn easy 15 seconds of regen minimum

  • Thank you! Can't wait to check it out. I really value your info in this vid and love the minimalist approach concerning add-ons. Do you have a blog or anything on Disc Priest healing? Do you sometimes heal 25-man runs? Do you use the same system for that? I'm about to spend frost emblems. Was actually thinking of going with the non-set shadow chest and non-set shadow hands for my Disc Priest. Thoughts? Sorry for all the Q's. TY for any feedback no matter how small.

  • @AndreBone

Well, as I said, it's been quite some time since I actually played my priest. I'm currently playing a warlock who's 79, and it will be my 7th 80 (my priest being my first). I haven't really played my priest since the days of Ulduar, although I have healed some ToC 10 runs and a number of VoA 25s (not the new frost boss, however).

For 25-mans, if I've been assigned a group or two to watch, it's just like healing a 10-man. If not, I tend to just throw a lot of bubbles around.

  • @SasquatchGod I see. Seventh 80, wow. I bet it's great knowing the mechanics of that many classes. Thanks for the responses. I hope you have more vids or tips someday.

  • @SasquatchGod I love throwing bubbles on the groups i'm not assigned to... so easy to disc priest.

  • The armory isn't bringing up your toon for some reason. Would really like to check it out. You still on there? Thanks!

  • @AndreBone

Whoops. Looks like I haven't logged in on my priest in so long that it counted me as inactive. I'll go login for a sec in a moment here.

  • I love being disc spec'd, I use for both PvE and PvP (although I do a little respec'ing when I PvE to cater to it's specific needs.) People always think that disc is just for pvp. Which, in arena, it is vital to be spec'd disc, however this is a perfect example of how disc can be used in pve as well. Holy and Disc are both capable, they're just different styles of healing. For example, Holy is more dependent on straight up heals, while disc is very dependent on Pw: Shield. Nice vid. 5/5 (:

  • levling a priest atm, but when i get to 80 im not too sure what im doing in raids. Every1 seems to be in the higher content atm, so what should i do if im not tottaly confident with raiding....altough i feal as if im a good healer :)

  • disc FTW. in 5 mans i still get guys every now and then who are like "disc can heal?" i made the switch from holy to disc about 6 months ago. i learned the ropes on the first run (my tank was a veteran disc priest) and i havent looked back. the only thing i miss from the holy tree is guardian spirit but im doing fine without it. the thing i think i like most is being able to heal on the run. or shield while getting outta harms way. good video

  • i have a priest that very very similar to yours, and it seems as if it was me healing haha I do everything yo just mentioned, im glad i can keep up the heals :D

  • I disc priest viable for 10 25 icc raids and are then raid wide healers or tank healers in those?

  • hey loved the vid and made me want to level mine can i just ask that you make some more vids because there very explanitory

  • 2 Q's man.

should i use Potions in fights?

    and

is Disc like for tank healing and Holy is for like Raiding wise healz

  • Potions are always recommended for progression fights as every little bit helps - however, for everyday raiding on "farm" content, I wouldn't worry about it.

As to which spec is better for raid healing and which is better for tanks, both are equally capable, but are just very different. Anyone who tells you disc can't raid heal or holy can't tank heal is over a year behind the times.

  • @SasquatchGod ty for the advise.

i rlly meant is that, does Disc Spec make healing easier for Dugeons and stuff since my GearScore is only 3.6k, so i cant do much Raiding to be accepted. and is Holy or Disc more wanted. right now i am dualed specced in Raiding Shadow and Tank healing Disc

  • Don't pay attention to gearscore, it really doesn't mean anything to how well you can play.

Disc is by far the better 5-man healing spec, I'd highly recommend picking it up. As to which is more desired, I'm not aware of groups favoring one over the other, although I'm personally happier to see disc priests.

  • @sasquatchGod I cant agree with that. Disc is simply designed for tank healing, with penance and imp power word shield and flash heal is specifically made for single target healing and ok for raid heals. Disc priest has no AoE healing spells that doesnt drain their mana pool. Sure disc can heal raid and sure holy can heal tank but they are not good at it.

  • Thanks for this. I have only been playing for 3 months; my priest is Holy and I just dual-specced to Discipline. I am looking for any and all resources to help me learn how to heal as Disc. Holy is very instinctive at this point. Will it be worth the effort to learn Disc? Any exp with Holy? tyvm

  • I actually PvP as holy (great for BGs), but my experience raid healing with holy is somewhat limited.

I'm a very staunch supporter of discipline for all environments, so I'd highly recommend putting in the effort to learn it.

  • omg great advce man, now i can maintain atleast half of my mana thru the fights that id always go oom thru, now i understand the concept of discipline heals, tis actually very mana efficient when u know what ur doing

    5/5

  • Just for the "I Wish" song I'm willing to sub ^^

  • Great Vid thnx.

  • i was an avid holy spec priest since before WOTLK, recently respecced to disc just yesterday... not fully knowing the rotation i am supposed to use i found myself at double the 'mana' that i would have had if i were holy spec, AND i found myself needing to heal less overall, the aoe heals that i'm lacking now are made up with the no cooldown PW:S that i have and penance down to 8 sec... great spec

  • really, either way is fine. it's not like it matters...great video by the way...I'm rolling a disc priest and this kinda helped me...:

  • This is an old video so I am not sure if you have changed your UI. However, Vuhdo raid frames shows the weakened soul debuff in a countdown in all raid members, as well as using many short-hand ways to show your shield timers, renews, PoM's and grace. It's worth a look, as many raid frames do not show the weakened soul debuff, and tracking that debuff is key to discipline priest healing.

  • The default UI raid frames will show debuffs such as weakened soul, as shown in this video.

  • Also, is renew in the healing rotation?

  • The short answer is no.

Renew actually doesn't heal very much to begin with, and even if you go holy, you have to spend a number of talent points to improve it to a point that it's useful (and even THEN, you should probably glyph it even if you do).

Check the mana cost compared to the amount healed - flash heal is not only cheaper, but a stronger heal.

I would say only use renew on the very rare occasion that you MUST HoT somebody and turn to another target or they will die, but even then.

  • @SasquatchGod Wow thanks mate, I used it previously with simple 5 mans and wasn't quite sure. Thanks again.

  • Thanks for the tips mate, will be looking forward to 80 raiding now on my toon.

    Evicted - Darkspear

  • Still dont get that mana regen thing so accually u need to buble before he takes damage? than u will rege ur mana? if i understand

  • If the bubble is somehow removed by any means other than wearing off after 30 seconds - by being dispelled or by damage - then it will give you back 2.5% of your maximum mana.

So yes, you need to bubble your targets before they take the damage in order to get the mana return.

  • Question: What is the song :D?

  • The first one is Whitest Boy Alive - Golden Cage.

    The second is Skee-Lo - I Wish.

  • Just curious but when you look at Rapture, in the end it says this effect can only occur once every 12 seconds. does that count the energize to yourself or just to the target?

  • Both, but you can proc Rapture multiple times at once, such as when a boss does a large AoE (like thunderstorm on Emalon).

  • very nice to see. I'm disc now and approaching 80. A friend loves holy spec, which i like as well. But we seem to disagree on how viable disc is. nice to see a disc raid healing here though.

  • I still maintain that for 5 and 10-mans, disc is the superior healing spec in terms of mana efficiency and keeping tanks alive. They synergize well with the other healers because you can still "heal" people at full health with bubbles and create buffers for them to use.

The only time disc has problems is when you have too many of them in a raid since you can't stack bubbles, so it pays to make other priests think holy is the better spec so that you're the only disc coming along. :P

  • haha, yeah good point!

  • SAMSQUAMCH

  • Sasquatchgod Thats so Fuckin shitty man...They need to make it Can only happen per PLAYER instead of "Set" thats ass packing....Like what about 5mans.. bubbles dont break at the same time in 5mans....shitty.

  • @dreamomega Go to school please.

  • as a disc priest, is this the only viable way to approach the group healing ability of holy priests? i'm just starting to do raids now and was wondering since as i understand it, disc priests is about damage mitigation, and yet it looks pretty mana-intensive to bubble everyone and hope for raptures.

  • @ikari you don't hope for raptures. If you use dbm you can time ur shields and you should get 100% rapture

  • I've made a decision to play as a disc priest when I first started leveling one and found shadow to be boring to start with, as a healer in 5 mans curently only level 48 atm I do just fine with a bubble here and there and some renews and throw a few flash of lights when needed, but after seeing that video I'm fairly impressed even more so. The only concern I have is that, during many raid bosses, what are the chances that you'll most likely just bubble people and throw a heal here and there?

  • shadow gets a lot more fun once u get vampiric touch and you are slightly geared

dot mind blast move on, even if the mob is still alive. it will die, and vampiric embrace will heal you for whatever it hit on you. essentially effortless, and with spirit tap, you regain any mana you used on that mob

  • Well that I understand, but it didn't seem that I could get into it at first but I leveled my priest to 40 and decided to dual spec her for shadow and I go between healing and dps'ing here and there, but I think it helped me play shadow to actually have been able to throw so many points into the shadow tree right away instead of that dreadful building it up to it routine :( but it's alright now, I still prefer to heal ;)

  • Nice video and nice tips. These will definitely be useful once I get to 80.

  • I thought that rapture can only be triggered once every 12 seconds?

  • Each "set" of rapture procs can only occur every 12 seconds, that's correct. However, you can get multiple simultaneous procs if you have more than one bubble break at the same time.

For example, if rapture is not on cooldown, and you bubble 5 people with an 8,000 damage bubble, then the boss does an AoE dealing 10,000 damage to all targets, you'll get back 5 procs of rapture.

  • I been lvling my priest after i saw this nice vid ^.^ 66 atm

    ;D

  • Great vid. One of the reasons I love playing a Disc priest is because of the ability to react quickly to intense situations. I wonder if you could comment on your strategy in tight situations (around 7:00 in this video as an example). Thanks!

  • Just a quick kinda nooby question, how do you find your Spellpower is it your "Bonus damage/healing" ? if not how can i figure it out?

    Thanks

  • When you open up your character sheet, there should be two small windows in the bottom center of it with drop-down menus above them.

If you select "spells," it should show you your bonus damage (which you can mouse over and view by school of magic) and your bonus healing.

So yes, your spellpower is your bonus healing, essentially.

  • Thanks allot dude ;)

  • I love your healing :) You are good

  • Wow I am a new Disc healer and I have been having hard time trying to figure out how to actually run my spec. Good job man nice video and narration!!!! ^^

  • awesome vid, excellent tips much needed for my new Disc priest

  • Well turns out I should do more research on my own class since I'm clearly still a scrub, you are 100% correct.. when multiple targets get hit at the same time while shielded the priest will in fact get rapture procs from all of them. Thanks for the help, now this'll make my raiding much easier hopefully ;).

  • Glad I could be of help. :D

  • Thanks for uploading, I am currently only lvl 72 on my priest but im leveling rappidly as a disc priest :), All of ur mana consumption/regen tips where great, i dont have Hym Of Hope yet, but i rarely if ever run out of mana atm, maybe because the majority of dungeons are pretty easy for skilled healers/tanks

  • But I'm trying to tell you that I really don't think that's how it works, once it procs ONCE it cannot proc again for another 12 seconds, what your saying is basically you only have to use like 20-30 mana per shield if you time 10 shields correctly. Now of course I could be wrong but I have done a lot of research and even on my SexyCooldown addon it shows rapture as 12 second cd when it procs on the tank I'm healing.

  • I promise you that's exactly how it works, because it's the reason I heal the way I do. I purposely tend not to bubble tanks when I'm in big raids so that they don't suck up my rapture procs if I'm expecting a lot of AoE.

  • Thanks for the upload! Well done.

I am primarily a disc healer, and I just want to say that everything you did in that fight was smart. Good use of your mana.

  • You guy's do realize Rapture has a 12 second cd right? So technically bubbling the whole raid say even just.. 4 times, that's 2,664 mana used for me, and I get about 636 mana back when rapture is activated, but I still used 2k mana that won't be returned back to me.

  • And so I say this *once again*:

Rapture can proc multiple times at once. Bubbling the whole raid is something to be done when you expect the raid to be taking heavy AoE damage, as with the flame jets, or thunderstorm, or flame breath, or oblivion, or something to that effect. If you bubble 10 people and, say, Emalon does his thunderstorm, you will get back 10 procs of rapture at once.

  • Heya, I just made a BE priest a few days ago. I am currently leveling as shadow but will be switching at 80 to either disc or holy. I find your videos very helpful and will be back soon with questions :)

  • bad idea on mana use.

When you get around 30k mana this use makes a much bigger difference, as in rapture gives mana back to your percent of total mana. but the bubble itself cost's 666 mana, and if your only getting back 590 thats a terrible idea to do.

  • So you think 7000 damage absorbed for 76 mana is inefficient? Mass bubbling only gets better and better as you pick up more gear.

  • Bubbling the raid makes less damage taken wich is obviously helpfull. But what i was refuring to on my other comment in mana consumption. Not the bubble itself.

  • I'm saying if you compare mana cost to amount healed (or absorbed), power word: shield is a discipline priest's most cost-effective heal because of rapture. Rapture can proc multiple times if it happens on multiple targets at once.

  • I love the music. Whitest Boy Alive is fucking awesome!

  • wat add ons do you have on?

  • As far as raid healing goes, I use the default UI.

  • @SasquatchGod

so in the video you didnt use anything else

what was the thing on the right ?

    is that defualt?

srry never healed raids b4 =P

  • If you hit O to bring up your social window, then go to the raid tab while in a raid, you'll see a display of all the groups.

If you click on the group number, then drag it out, you'll get a display of that group like the two I have in this video.

You can also drag out individual names, which I do for any tanks we have in the raid.

  • whew, super fast talking and great tips 5/5

  • this healer is old school ;) x no heal bot or grid? x i like this x

  • Always love people who can appreciate minimal AddOns.

  • i love your vids 5/5 :D:D

  • @SasquatchGod Yeah i feel its more real if you dont use addons. i play a disc preist and i do what you do

  • so, what stats are more importart for us in disc? Critic, intelect?

  • spell power

  • Yeah I have noticed that people are always complaining about disc priests on the healing meters so I have to explain to people how it works. I have actually recommened this video to people who dont know how disc works.

    Sozàn

P.s. Im leveling my priest right now cant wait to do some disc healing ^_^ !

  • ok now i go heal

  • Since no one's mentioned it, I'd like to say that bubbling a raid is no longer a viable option if you want to stay mana efficient. The Rapture Talent now says, "...effect cannot occur more than once every 12 seconds." So now we are left to more single target tank healing and watching our CD's for shadow fiend and hymn of hope a little bit more. I enjoyed being able to shield everyone, that was a pretty big nerf imho.

  • Not true - I even mention in the video that while you can't get it to proc more often than 12 seconds, you can get multiple procs at once. For example, if you bubble 15 people in Emalon and he does nova, you'll get 15 procs of rapture back.

  • @SasquatchGod I didn't know that, I will have to test it myself. I just stopped because I didn't know that was possible. Thanks for the correction. Much appreciated.

  • how do you use macros that are on your action bars that you do not click, as in this video his penance and power word"shield are in his acton bars and hes not clicking them, can someone please tell me

  • You can add extra hotkeys beyond the 1 through 0 numbers on your keyboard. If you hit escape, then go to key bindings, you can add hotkeys to other action bars.

  • omg are u serious.. Noobs i feel sorry for who ever thinks we are supposed to top Heals we are jsut to mitigate damage.. and crit so they take either less damage or get healed more.

  • I wish more people would watch this =]

I actually got kicked out of an ulduar 10 group (PUG) last week for being so low on the Healing Meter.

When will people learn, We prevent alot of Damage aswell..Urrg

  • i looked your spec and didnt understand why you took improved mana burn.. i woudla filled mental agility and taken inner focus, enlightenment not taken? :o maybe you got a pvp spec now since you dont have taken Twin disciplines either. owell, great video anyways, helped me alot.

  • Yeah, I've all but stopped raiding nowadays. I'm actually one of two admins on most active WoW Ventrilo server in the world, running premade BGs.

  • great vid + music, the Fred Falke remix is better =)

  • Great stuff. Thanks a lot for posting SasquatchGod. I'm a 78 Shadow Priest but I just bought dual talent specialization and chose to make my second build Disc. I have a lot to learn but this vid and comments will help me a lot! I didn't hear anything about Divine Aegis bubbles. Not important? Too specific? I just don't know. Thanks again!

  • Divine aegis simply procs when you crit, so it's not really something you can plan for. However, it does make crit a more valuable stat than haste to pick up for disc priests, especially since you probably have enlightenment and borrowed time.

  • Hmmm, interesting (Gnome voice). Ha, sorry, I'm a dork. Seriously though, that is a good point. I'll keep that in mind. I'm a big fan of DA so I'll be looking to up my crit stat. Thanks again!

  • I'm myself an end-game disc raiding priest, and done all raids out there such as TotGC 10/25 man, i'm always one of the lowest on the healing board even though i'm far better geared than some, some guys just don't get the fact that aegis shield and power word shields absorbation will not be shown as healing even though it prevent a massive amount of damage taken to a target, and because it wont show on the board people tend to pick on you ;p

  • Do you even bother getting Grace? It seems to me you can't possibly get it to stack enough on any single target before you heal someone else, thereby erasing it completely. It's actually kind of useless.

  • Casting one penance will put up all 3 stacks on a target, and there will certainly be a large number of situations where you will have to follow up penance with a flash heal, particularly on the tanks.

While disc is certainly capable of raid healing, they're often assigned to specific targets, so you'll still get mileage out of grace.

  • so basically, Grace is a game-saver for when the tank is dangerously low on health?

  • I would call it extra mana efficiency, really. Suppose you penance the tank to full health, then he gets hit again and you need to use something before penance is back up. This is a pretty common situation, typically flash heal is your fallback - making flash heal 9% more effective means every 10 times you do that, you save the mana of 1 flash heal.

There are also fights that simply demand chain healing, like Jaraxxus, Patchwerk, or Koralon. Grace gives extra efficiency for those situations.

  • Can any1 tell me the name of the addon tht allows u to heal raid and party members without clicking there portraits u just have to scroll over there name thanks in advance!

  • I believe it's called Healbot.

  • and is there a addon to see where your target is located with a arrow

  • do u buble your self all the time or only when aoe is comming? i buble my self all the timebut it can throw off my casting times

  • I only bubble myself if I expect to be taking damage.

As for an AddOn that shows where your target is via pointing at it, I don't know of one.

  • what do you use to see the raid members i use vudhu but i dont like it

  • The default UI.

If you open up your social window (default "O") and go to the raid tab while in a raid, you can click on "group 1," "group 2," etc. and drag them out like I have it on my screen. You can also drag out individual names, which you can see I've done for the tanks in this video.

It will display debuffs next to anyone's name, as well as turn their box the corresponding debuff-type's color, and you can select an option to fade out any names of people who are standing 40+ yards away.
