  • Good sound Piano Pc3K8.....PROFFESIONAL KEY

  • the korg oasys is the best sounding of all the keyboards

  • @816showtime Yamaha SY99 sounds better in my opinion.

  • @vithaj92 Are you freaking high? I have both an SY99 and a TG77- while the FM resources certainly have their place, to compare either of these cave-machines to ANY of Kurz's VAST machines is simply uneducated. Do some actual playing, in person, through stereo monitors. And Youtube in your mom's basement doesn't count. LOL!

  • Kurzweil's orchestral sound set really shows why doing something properly the first time is the best. Even after 10+ years their orchestral sounds are still regarded as some of the very best!

  • But i agree motif has better guitar sound... While completely disagree better ochestral.. Pc3 has the greatest oche & string sound among synth machine

  • It's the sound. I used to be yamaha roland user, its demo quiet cool. Better than kurzs. But in real use, kurz rocks!! Don't be confused with fake...

  • Lavakava dude.. Pc3le can blow motif series

  • 2:05, is that Dave Grohl in the background?

  • @FusionRising yup!!!!

  • too expensive... :\

  • Yamaha Motif XF (and even XS) can blow this thing out of the water. sure it has KDFX and VA1 on board but seriously who will program to that level. Yamaha Motif XF has better guitars, drums, bass, brass, even orchestral. Only redeeming point of this are the organs and EPs.

  • all of their keyboards have the styling of a block of wood. seriously. all the buttons look like they came from at least 15 years ago, and that display is pathetic

  • @btevoxboy6835

implying that looks = good sound.

kurzweil's are for people that can program faggot.

  • @rantarave i never said they didnt have good sound. i think they sound amazing really. they just have no style at all

  • Played one of these.

It comes across as very dated.

Keys are a little sluggish as well.

    It's not cheap either.

Full blown this, full blown that, but it's pretty limited and tedious to use.

  • @Geeljasjes That's because you don't know how to use one.

  • Just had a listen to their individual sounds on their website. whilst I found the Eps and organs good , other sounds such as acoustic pianos, brass, bass are something to have a good laugh about IMO.... just another overpriced keyboard on the market .... I guess .... will stick to my receptor until

a smart company decides to develop the concept and add keys to it.... but I guess it will cost us millions since we pay thousands for medediocre rom compessed sounds IMOAO

  • I have been a fan of Kurzweil for years.., but with their latest models I can't help but feel that Kurzweil needs to get with the times. At the price point their top models go for now they need to be putting more into these workstations.

  • definitely kurzweil has great sounds.... but needs to change the whole screen interface... it's too old! ...roland and korg have done great job with their interface.. even yamaha... kurzweil should do that too!..

  • MSRP of $4,100? No way. Compared to workstations from Korg, Roland, and Yamaha the lack of features in this board is appalling. Sounds alone don't sell a workstation nowadays. Producers want a good user interface and sampling. Kurzweil is stuck so far in the past they will never catch up.

  • isnt there a version out of the PC3K without the weighted keys? i hate those. i prefer cheap plastic keys. but any Pc3K i see on the web seems to have weighted keys. and bad enough it seems to be sold out mostly. wtf?!

  • and when can I buy it?

  • No, the PC3K won't be the next K2600.

You are not able to sample a sound into the PC3K, as it has no external audio inputs/dedicated circuit for this. First, you'll have to import ur stuff via usb media or from ur computer. Thus triple mode isn't possible.

  • @Agenor333 Is this a joke? Are you really saying there are no inputs for sampling? Unbelievable!

  • 5:00 Batman!

  • really cool shit

  • The screen might be small but the small but the Kurzweil OS is superb and I find it heaps easier to navigate than the archaic OS's on Rolands Fantoms and Yamahas Motifs..... not knocking those great sounding instruments but honestly they are confusing to get to grips with! This is where both Kurzweil & Korg win out big time- user friendliness!

  • @SLOVENEC1972 A small screen in 2010? Forget it! The market isn't going to buy many of these synths. Every knows the user interface is important to making music.

  • Acutally I think that it's the SOUND that counts when it comes to making music! The best user interface in the world means nothing if the sound of the instrument is inferior. This is where Kurzweil has things nailed as far as I'm concerned. Whilst I believe that a bigger screen would be good, the layout of the user interface is such that it's easy to get around it. This is just my opinion of course!

  • I have the whole K-series, and I want this board as well. For me Kurz is the best!!

  • My friend has a pc3x...great pianos, eps organs, orchestral, virtual analog. but i have motif xs: better guitars, brass, drums...and great integration with cubase, excellent editor. Then a korg m3 has kickass modern synth sounds, and roland v-synth has unique synthesizer classic sounds only roland can make.

so each synth has its benefits..but i would say for a keyboardist playing mainly organs or orchestral, kurzweil rules.

i always wanted sampling so i will buy this.

  • @qdubbs whole series ? list please.

  • @leefuji The K-series with VAST started with the K2000 series then the K2500, K2600 series followed. Dave mentioned them in the video.

  • Strange. They speak so highly of these new features yet they don't show not ONE feature. Just the same old sound demos. Could've at least loaded a K series sound set/sample or something. Video is pointless.

  • @ChurchBoy0487

I wonder why he always demos the same same pianos over and over. Geoffrey Gee on the other hand demos all the instruments.

  • @davcar23 My thoughts Exactly!!! If kurzweil decides to record another video of the PC3K with it's added features ACTUALLY BEING USED, I would rather see Geoffrey Gee demo it. I'm not hating on Dave Weiser but Geoffrey got him beat in that department. Playing the same website demo's,and the same showcase from NAMM 2009 is a bit redundant. Pc3le on top and PC3x(K this time) on bottom.

  • The screen needs to be updated. Way larger & in colour. However the sounds are brilliant & amazing in detail.

  • What would making the screen larger or in color benefit? The Kurzweil OS on these is layed out in such a logical way I can't imagine how making it bigger would help, honestly. Not that there couldn't be some changes in the way a few things work (mostly effects related), but a color screen? Really? It doesn't make your instrument sound any better, but it sure adds to the cost.

  • @Kruzweilfreak Dave Weiser:"And yes, we hear you loud and clear about larger displays. Any future product that is considered above the PC3/PC3K in the Kurz food-chain will have a larger display.

  • No giant ribbon controller though

  • The one thing that my PC3X is missing that would make it almost perfection. :(

  • more rest here than in the crowded almost agresso new-age remarked over great Stevie Wonder demo of the pc3k.

  • Feels weird to see a monochrome LCD on an über workstation synthesizer-everythingmachine that hasn't even been released yet (Bowen's Solaris doesn't count). Someone make sure Kurz stick a colour display in whatever family comes after the PC* series please :)

  • Well it's not the only performance keyboard with a small screen, the Yamaha S70XS/S90XS had it too. Large touch screens are just not that useful on stage I guess.

The PC3LE6 looks nice, too btw.

  • The same PC3x with sampling and a "K"

  • getting sick of my adap input doing nothing
