  • I remember a smaller version of the lion on Soupy Sales called Pookie. We don't need the commentator for chrissakes!

  • That last line about why the director killed himself was over the line. And the guy with the limp was a pretty good actor; he's in several episodes of The Wild Wild West.

  • OH WHY?!!? , WHY didn't I listen to that strangely prophetic song?!?!?

  • One thing for sure...they don't make 'em like this anymore!!!

  • If you talking about bad special effects your right. However, if your talking about silly, contrived plots with horrible acting, then saddly their still cranking them out : (

  • Who really needs a monster from the surf when you have that freaky singing lion puppet in the opening scene? That alone is the stuff of nightmares!

  • Thanks for posting this cute tune.

  • I love the terrible surfing scenes spliced in to make it a "surf" movie. I love the terrible BGM. I love the 10 min. car chase at the end, the expressions of agony and mental distress on the killer's face. This movie ranks with 'The Creeping Terror' as one of the films I most love to HATE.

  • AMC was cool back in the day.

  • That lion!?

  • @freddead

That Lion's name is Kingsley the lion! He used to appear on children's T.V. shows here in L.A. during the late 50's and early 60's. If I remember right he used to appear with Engineer Bill in channel 9. Thought you mile like this little bit of trivia.
