Dean Martin did this song as well. From his choice of songs I have come to the conclusion that he admired Al Jolson, Bing Crosby, Russ Columbo and of course, Harry Mills.

Thanks for this nice Russ Columbo recording which is well recorded. The Victor sides seem to have a lot better sound quality capturing Columbo's voice really clear as opposed to those last 4 recordings he made for Brunswick on August 31, 1934 in Los Angeles. I have one of the titles from that session on my page. It is "I See Two Lovers" . Does anyone have a 78 release for that recording? Interesting the 4 Brunswick titles were recorded only a few days before he died.

I would not judge the original recording by the sound here presented.

It is taken from the British ASV CD and they awfully work (and change !) the sound.
