  • Moreover, I read through all the comments, all comments are expressing the true no matter good or bad.

Take the bad comments as reminder, good comments as encouragement.

    All the best to you.

  • To be honest this Kata is far far away from "the best Kata in the world" But there are lots of 'Best Kumite in the world" is not the best. "Amazing kick" is not amazing, " The Best referee" indeed the worst. You never know.....May be one day...this talented young man show the world " The Best Kata In The World" .

  • FUK YOU THAT IS NOT A KATA!

  • Encouragement!!!!!! Hinari Funakoshi said "karate lies not within the winning or defeat but in the perfection of the character of it's participants." you're never to old to learn something new and this young guy's got a long way to go yet. stick with it, good work lad!

  • hiyaa just a bit of constructive feed back:) i dont know wether this is accuretly correct or not but just try and keep the same hight throughout the the hole kata rater than going up and down as i think this it shows more power and controll, keep it up well dont though pritty good:)

  • Best among Monkeys........

  • podreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Naihanchi Dachi is the stance you where looking for there... Not Sheko Dachi.

  • I think I would remove "best Kata in the world" That is just an invite for insults. IMHO- the stances were to wide and the techniques need work. He also needs a belt that fits and not one 4 times his size. I also agree that the Kias were just yelling. It is good to see young people (kids) trainning. I don't agree that kids should get black belts, for me there is more depth to a Black Belt than a 12 year old can handle. I don't believe in the "everyone gets a trophy for showing up" mentality.

  • Wow, too many negative comments here. Black belt is not the end of training but as our Sensei teaches, black belt only means you have mastered the basics and are ready for your real training. Karate is not about kicking anyone's butt, it is about protecting yourself using the least amount of energy needed so that you can outlast your opponent. Looks real easy from the sidelines as I quickly learned when I started. Keep up the good work kid.

  • right the comments about he is crap is wrong... u can see the sharpness on the dude... yes the kata isnt the best but he's doing what hes been told and shown... it's not his fault... with maybe a better mentor- sensei he will be very good..

  • I know this is just a kid. But this kata is crap. Stance is wrong, its too wide as are the inside blocks. Also there is no stomping. The steps are suppose to slide.

  • All I know from experience is that with most martial arts, and the participants like this boy, they quickly memorize forms and rank up, and they train their body, but their mind is not in the right place. Which is why so many black belts are wiped out by street punks every year. Train the body, train the mind. The more you sweat in training, the less you bleed in battle.

  • dude, phoowww that was one ugly kata!!! your kibadachi is whorrable!!!!talk to your sensei about kiba dachi because you wont get far whit that (youll never get far i think,no offence)

  • Beautiful kiba, but, upper body and hip movement are weak, nice, keep training

  • @mykaratedojo wtf his legs look like a table, thats not kibadachi!

    OSU!

  • @mykaratedojo That is not a Kibadachi

  • you guys are being too hard on him...at least the kid is trying.... I say keep training... you will get there.... everyone is at a differant skill level.... warriors are made of hard work.... and this kid is working hard... dont kill the kids spirit... just help him get better but telling him how to get better... that is the way of the art...

    Peace and Blessings

    Sensei Thomas

"On the streets, There is no Tap."

  • Personally, I liked the kata. Keep training. Martial Arts is a personal art. The only person you have to prove anything to is yourself. On a more personal note, being a martial artist should means you do not need to attack other martial artist just because they are a different style.

    Good Job Kid !

  • serious overstatement

  • Pt. centura neagra executia este acceptabila dar nu stie o regula la kata: La Rey nu se spune niciodata os !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 9 comments before mine. I'm willing to bet 8 of you couldn't perform a kata as sharp as that kid just did. Yea I know there are some personal preferences for execution of technique and what not, but this in no way deserve all of the negative criticism. Bunch of asshole sissies. Good kata kid

  • Wow! Something tells me that there will be lessons learned here. For starters not letting someone else come up with a name like 'best kata in the world' would be a good way to avoid being a target. Others have said enough about the so called 'standard'. Allow me to say this ...that dojo could be 'the best in the world' ;)

    Meantime keep on training.

  • He sounded possessed with all the exhales. For some reason it reminds me of Poltergeist. LOL!

  • A kiai is a show of spirit, it is not juz screaming the word KIAI

  • @Anthonybrw4 ya a show of passion also

  • Wow, tekki is the best kata in the world, not sure about that

  • "Best kata in the world" may be a bit of an over statement. Keep training though.

  • Sometimes a camera is a good sensei. Watch your own video.

  • Now thats one shit Kata.............u better practice more........dont call yourself the best untill u r the best.

  • bwahahahaha!!!!

  • that is so bad doing teki shodan!!! and you have black belt!!! hahaha lol...nowdays kids with 12 years have black belts with just 2 years of training!!!! and that is not kiai, thai is just yelling !!! OSU!

  • guys the kid wants to make his dream come true y u insult him instead of cheering him up in my eyes eve though he needs alot of training cheer him up give him more chances and respect cause martial arts are all about respcet right?
