Nice video! Now I see why everyone wants to know, where in Ohio. They wanna go hunting. LOL .... nice hunting grounds. I live in Florida and the deer feed off oranges in the orange groves.
The day i see a white-tailed deer that is 500 lbs, says that in the description, pigs will fly. Also, the bucks in the pre-rut travel in groups because they bachelor up and stay together until the rut comes. Sometimes you will get 10 bucks traveling together.
That cyote was like hey hey man you catching this look look man catch this on tape ill be famomous or rich ok watching im going to take down this deer. lol
I have 800 acres abutting Fort Knox in Kentucky and we see coyotes and deer fairly often together usuall in a stalking situation. This is not uncommon at all unless yotes are new to your area. They feed heavily on fawns and take some adults. I've shot coyotes during deer season out of a stand twice in the last two years. Both times I had does in the field and the coyotes were obviously moving in with bad intentions.
@MrPieface009 Why is it necessary to kill. I realize that it was part of our long ago makeup but now? I'd be more afraid of a child getting hurt by aggressive animals that can't feed. Besides those trophies on the wall are for bragging and nothing else. I do believe that from time to time the state should allow licences to cull herds & over abundant predators. The environment is everything. If you lived in the South tell me where have the fireflies gone? There used to be uncounted millions. Now?
Great video. When you say that it is unusual to see several large bucks together at the same time and the time of year this was caught on video, I would like to share that this is my most important time of the year to scout for the upcoming archery season. Big boys like the ones in your video are in "bachelor" groups and it is PRIME time to see what might be sneaking through your woods in the fall. Spent many evening at dusk glassing field edges in mid/late summer for these very things.
nice footage of the deer feeding! In which state did the filming take take place? I thought he had wonderful mass at his bases but he could have been a little wider agreed 2 1/4 to 3 year old deer at 4- 5 years of age is prime and he will still be there maybe if he survies the following rut. Nice deer and filming
@jae5446 Thanks. Ohio They were beautiful. Don't know if either survived. Haven't seen either, but they go to places where there is less hunting later in the year.
yea and these bucks are playing not fighting, they are still in velvet, the only time they will spar is during the rut, its their mating season and they fight for dominance, any other time of the year bucks will heard together and stay together like you saw first hand in this video, what you captured was play fighting since they are still young year and a half two years old tops, but still very nice deer, they should be massive given another 3 years
Just because a buck has 10 points does not make him a trophy buck.Every deer taken is to some extent a trophy but I have seen some pidly 10 pointers. And I saw a 4 point once that would have gladly taken over several different 10 point bucks. The 4 was old and I probably couldn't have put my hand around his antlers till about 12" up his main beam and he had super long g2s that seemed to have similar mass. A very unique deer.
nice video, its romantic without action, just love but i like wild

In my area it is not rare to see a coyote near a deer. It is rare to see a coyote near my dogs though.
