This is true what it implies in those passages but these parts of the bible were written before Jesus's time and during Genesis. (a darker and way more misleading and hypocritical than the teachings of Jesus.) And ur right, religion maybe a quote "steaming pile of shit" unquoute but I would rather follow Jesus's teachins of loving and kindness and equality of sexes than everything in the bible. For this who are not aware of what the bible really is, it's easy to misjudge.
