I LOVE THAT SOUND!!! LONG LIVE THE TOYOTA SUPRA! It's a real shame that Toyota stoped making it.(Should reconsider) I talked to a sales clerk at a toyota dealer. He said they just weren't selling so...they stopped. Now a rare HIGh potential car-scooped up in a hurry. They don't last very long after it's tuned 2 hours tops then-zip it's gone. Manual is better in any kind of race whether it be drift, drag or track. Being able to match your clutch control to throttle response is extremely important. Turbo/Autos no matter how well tuned will all ways lag due to the transmission trying to keep upwith the extra pressure brought on by the turbo. As for handbrake turns, u can do them with an auto but manual is the way to competitively drift a car, u need complete control over all gears and power going into them.

That's a good quetion. I think that the driver stayed on 3rd gear- I am not completely sure. "Supra from Hell" had similar take off. Tuners can still modify the transmission. That BOV...What a fantastic sound! Some kid did immatation sounds with his mouth-kinda like the black dude from police academy. "Supra with my mouth"
