    Amazing how low prices were in 1967. I realize that if you earned $250 a week back then, you were doing OK. But still...

    That same house, with that view, in Malibu, would be worth 2.5 million now, and that same Rolls, would run you around $65K+, at an up-scale auto auction.

  • @skeilak  In the 50s and 60s people BOUGHT not leased new cars and could pay them off in 2-3 years. Then came the 70s and inflation.....................­....

    Actually, most people BOUGHT their cars, well into the early 1990's. (And as far as I know, still do. Albeit, with 5-6 year loans.)
